Yes, he's posted PROOF on dragtimes.com.
Same can be achieved with an "i".
A race is not won by crossing the 60' mark first. But does help IF you can hold it for the long run.

but compared to an equally modded i, the xi will always lose.

Nope. Not if the i only has the stock slip diff. One wheel peel FTL. From a roll maybe but only at higher power levels and speeds.

On stock diff I've been able to cut 1.7 60' times and I am certain that it can be much improved. Others have proven so.

Wow, I didn't want things to get this out of hand.

I guess the i vs xi debate will rage on for ages. It just seems that the xi also doesn't have as many of the fastest times at the track because there is probably a 5 to 1 i to xi ratio.

if the race is long enough, yes, but not by much. Trust me- I know. My car, from an 80 roll, is SIIIICK fast!!!

BTW- I LOVE your taste in cars obviously!!

I am thinking about the new Jeep GC srt8- which should debut in April at the NY auto show.

The 6.4 Litre Hemi- rated at 470 hp. But that same motor in the new Chally has been dyno tested numerous times at 440 or more to the wheels...so I amt thinking it is well over 500hp.

nobody cares about "one wheel peel" when the Xi's advantage is only to the 1/8mi - if that.

that 6.4 is supposed to be a very strong engine, but SWEET MOTHER OF GOD why do they have to put it in cars that weigh as much as the earth's core !?!?!?

if Dodge wants to compete with the G8, the new 5.0 and even the Camaro SS, they're going to have to find a way to shave 500-600lbs, especially at the cost of an SRT compared to the previous.

if Jessica Alba were to make out with Katie Perry, the 392 Chally would STILL be sexier in comparison.....

LOL...very true. The other thing they are finally adressing (in next year's model I beleive) is that tranny (the WA580 auto). That was a great tranny back in 05 when they put it in the 300C and SRT8 models (from Benz) but it is outdated now. They will be using the ZF 8spd tranny next year I believe and that alone will make these cars much faster, and fuel efficient.

I am also looking at the BMW 550 Xi, (I know-me and my Xs-lol, but I live in Michigan). It has that Tranny and it is spectacular-driven several for test drives.

the 8 speed was supposed to have been mated with the 392 but it didn't happen.

i did see that the new 392 ran a 12.4 @ 111 in bone stock form.

car is supposed to have much more manable tq.
