F Series Cluster in E9x

Hey guys,

has anyone attempted this? I'm in search of a f series cluster to test it out. i know it wont be a direct fit because of the different shape but im sure i could do something about that. And i think the pinout would be fairly similar to the e9x

f series are running on different can frequencies so I imagine it'll be a bit more involved than just wiring, ie some sort of can module to translate

About $40k will do it and you'll have A new car too!

F-series cluster wouldn't work in an E90 due to how the F-series cluster works in conjunction with the central display screen. If someone managed to somehow get it to work, it would only work partially. A lot of the features outside of the basics most likely wouldn't function.

I'm an engineer and most things are possible when it comes to protocol conversion.
You just need a fast enough processor, someone to program it and an interface from the car and to the cluster.

It's about money and time.
In this case I don't see why anyone would spend the amount of either to do this.

I think the F30 cluster looks ugly anyway but if you want to attempt it, I'd love to see it done
