Telepeage - liber-t - & Millau

Finally picked up my electronic telepeage box today. EUR20 deposit, and it is free, apart from a EUR1.5 charge for each month you use it. Just picked it up from the services at the Millau bridge.

The Millau toll is 20% less when you use telepeage too.

It does make the tolls easier - not tried a "no stopping" one yet, but the normal one you just drive to the barrier, the box beeps, and the barrier opens. You are basically paying EUR1.5 a month (only when you use it) for convenience, but I've decided its worth it.

I think you can get one if you are in the UK - worth considering, as apart form the EUR20 deposit, it won't cost you anything when you're not in France. Not sure how you link it to a UK bank though...

Some photos of Millau at the weekend....Tarn valley is nice - and very deep!

Used the iPhone Photosynth app which is pretty good for panoramas and getting a fish eye effect....

Went over the bridge last year - absolutely breathtaking.

What really surprised me was the incline - we were coming from the south and you come over the crest of the hill and get on the bridge and it slopes quite steeply downwards felt a bit weird!

Nice little visitors centre - which tells you all about how it was built and the British architect!

Apologies for the really bad photo!
