More Issues!!! Please Help

Hi all,

So in recent months, I have needed a new timing chain installation, gearbox, clutch kit as well as replacing all of my coils and spark plugs.

I got my car back this week from the gearbox swap and it is now misfiring and vibrating like crazy on a cold start. After about 5-10 minutes of driving it all falls back into it's normal state.

Every now and again during the cold start the yellow engine light flashes up and then dissappears.

Does anybody have an idea of what this could be? I am reaching my limit in caring about this car now, it has cost me near £3,000 in the last 2 months alone.

CAR: 2008 E92 320i

Thanks,
Kyle.

The 320i is known for problems with the coil packs. Check you have the latest ones. As far as I can remember the Delphi ones were updated to ones that don't blow as often. You need to change all of them at the same time if it is those.

Injectors(s) get my vote. They leak overnight and give you rough running after a cold start until the excess fuel has burned off...

Quick question do you see the light more so when ticking over or say at low revs as well as on start up?

There is logic behind the question
