alpina d3 second hand values

this may have been discussed before, forgive me if it has.

how do you go about valuing an alpina d3 ,can you use a 320d m sport/ 325d m sport as comparison? obviously they carry a premium because of the rarety value, but realistically how much more?

I'd already done that but just wanted some opinions of what is the average premium over same age/mileage 320d m sport ,I think a d3 was about £4000 more new but I can't see it being still worth £4000 more second hand but that's what they seem to be advertised at

I thought they were about the same price as a 320d M-Sport, they certainly were when I tried to get one as a company car.

Seem to recall a review in a magazine saying that the D3 was actually cheaper than the 320d msport.

No it's defiantly more expensive but from what I can work out, it couldn't be specced up much.

Depends on the age, from the LCI they started to become more expensive as they are bought by Sytner in Euros, so the price fluctuates, you also got more spec standard, plus they started using the x23d engine as well, which will add another couple of grand.

The older mono turbo was about the same as a 320d m-sport, the current biturbo D3 is more expensive.

They definitely hold their value far better than the 320d m-sport though, which is great buying new, not so good buying used, especially when people compare the price difference now with what it was on the older model.

I would have thought it would be more comparable price wise to a 325d m-sport.

they will be more because there are less of them about

i would imagine a £4k used diff for the same model spec for spec should be about right
