Unhappy Got hit in parking lot

Hi all,

Some dude in an older 740 backed into my e92 over the weekend while I was in a parking lot. Thankfully there was a witness and the guy left his info. on my car when he realized he was "busted". It put a nice dent in the front driver's side bumper. Also, something weird happened when I first drove it. I'd turn the a/c off, it'd come back on by itself. It did this about 3 times. Surely he didn't hit me hard enough to screw with something like that?? I'd love to be able to get a new bumper. In the RARE event that I can get a new bumper, what could I get that would be a little sportier? Car already has zsp. Any thoughts??? Thanks!

Sorry to hear! This is the MTEC bumper, I've been thinking about getting one myself. Nice upgrade if you ask me.

Got my car back today...woohoo! Unfortunately, I decided not to upgrade the bumper cover for now so it got replaced with the stock cover. $3300 later and she's just like new. They replaced the bumper cover, replaced core supports, and new headlamp housing. Can't believe that lil dent cost that much to repair, but it wasn't on my dime...thank goodness!

You got very lucky. Recently, I was also a victim of a hit and run in a local parking lot mall. Someone put a huge dent on my rear bumper. There were no witnesses nor any notes left on my car. It wasn't worth it to go through my own insurance and pay the deductible, so I paid out of my own pocket to get my bumper repaired. SUCKS...

Thats why i keep a 250 deductible for Uninsured motorist PD. Its cheap to keep a low deductible on that. hat way your covered in these hit and run situations without having to rely on your collision deductible
