Hit and run at the A&M game put a nice dent in the driver side door and knocked the door out of alignment. Anyone know if they will replace the entire door or simply remove the dent and try to realign the door? Well I guess that is why I have Geico. Hopefuly you guys can find some time to help me install the DCI, FMIC and DP in February or March If not I think one of the mechanics at BH BMW moonlights on his days off.

wow that suckss doc!!! If you have a good relationship with your company and the adjuster is cool, just tell them you would prefer the door to be replaced instead of just a pulled dent.

I'm looking to get DP and CP/BOV before the end of the year and get everything put on really soon also.

Hmm, I didn't notice it when I passed you yesterday. I couldn't tell if you realized that was me or just some loon in a Mustang.

Doc,

German Auto is a great place to get this work done. Call and ask for DJ or Kyle and tell them you are friends with Ian, Grant, Todd etc they should give you a good price.

If Todd or Grant can do it it'll be after finals and i'd assume they'll chime in here. I know that install takes some time

You should have waved. We might have tried a few pulls if it wasn't crowded.

I'm in Lafayette and I'm looking to pick up a 335i. Do y'all know of anyone around here that's selling one? Our craigslists are pretty dry and there are a couple in ATL and Houston but I was wondering if there were any more local cars for sale.

BBKs

I've got two questions:

1) If you upgrade your brakes with a BBK that's slightly larger or smaller than your OEM rotor, do you have to get different sized pads? or will OEM pads still fit? I just got new Pagid RS-19 pads up front (they stop like no one's business, thanks for the help a few pages back), and I don't want to dinosaur them in the process of upgrading a Stoptech or Ksport BBK that allows quick/easy pad changes.

2) Also, anyone have any experience with MSS Spring Kits...or H&R Coilovers? I'm considering them, along with KW Clubsport, Ksport Kontrol Pro coilovers, to increase my cornering and allow me some more neg camber...I think I'm at the limit of what my stock setup can do.

The pads will likely be larger if you upgrade to a BBK, which means your stock pads will not work with the BBK. When I got my BBK the new pads were nearly twice the surface area of the stock pads.

I would just run your current pads down and upgrade to BBK (if that's the route you choose) after those pads are gone, so you don't have them just sitting there.

And I don't have any info on those coilovers. Hope this helps

The BBK will use it's own type of pad, i'd just run yours out. Make sure to check pad availabilities for whatever BBK you choose, I know StopTech has tons of options, some have few.

If you do suspension i'd look into Stasis, Bilstein or KW. I'd look into a system that has compression and rebound adjustments, you will be left wanting more with a fixed kit or spring swap. It'll be a big job to put them in, might as well do it right the first time right? Ksport IMO has turned into quite the quality product company vs what it was 6-7 years ago but i'd stick to something more brand oriented towards your car or just something german

KW has a kit for the E90/2 M3 that works with the factory electronic damper control button in the car. In fact, you can adjust the suspension with their app form your iphone, i'd love that.

Good point on the BBK...wonder if I can just buy the quick release calipers in my stock size...mine stop really well, and I'm really just looking for that...and I don't want to stop using Pagids (I'm hooked). And thanks abaynh1 for the similar info.

KW is the top of the line choice for Audis, but also about 3 times as expensive.
(10 DEs = 1 front suspension...not including installation)

You might want to look into a dedicated D.E car Jay. Big benefits if you wreck a track beater vs. a new Audi

Grants stock motor stripped out E36 M3 on coil overs you can get new for $1800 has 1:54 +/- laps in it with R compound tires. Not to mention a new rolling chassis is only 3-6k if you so happen to ruin your day/have your day ruined in one of those 10 D.E's..

Also you can buy these 325/8's and M3's prepped, caged with extra wheels and tires used for 14-25k +/- and some of these just need a license in order to race and are ready to go (Check Grassroots Motorsports, Roundel, Bimmerforums etc. for these cars)

Jay check this out...

This guy is actually my neighbor but I haven't seen this car.

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...r-sale-Atlanta

Looks like it's ready for someone to pilot it to a 1:57 lap at Nola

Or if you want someone classed, prepped and ready to race for a lot more $$

Both of those cars are great deals. I should have bought one built, it costs much less than doing it yourself. Mine is pretty though
