Will the E90 be able to handle Strollers

Well good thing for the family but maybe not for my Black Beauty. My wife and I are having twins.

Now the question is can the 335 handle a double stroller and still be able to carry some groceries? Or am I going to have to trade in one of my cars for a X3 or X5?

It's going to be tight, especially for a double stroller. I never even tried to put our big single stroller in. I've put an umbrella stroller and a ultralight one in the back.

First of all congratulations on the twins. My niece barely fits in the backseat of my 335i.

May I suggest 535i or maybe 550i. Lol goodluck and congrats again.

I don't think you can fit two baby car seats in the back seat...

Ouch, my condolences on the upcoming sleepless nights. Congrats tho! My little guy (1yr old) is a handful, but he's awesome and worth every little bit of the hassle.

Sounds like it might be time to go Dodge Caravan or Honda Odessey?!

Congrats! Two car seats in the back is not problem. A double stroller in the trunk . . . not happening. Time to upgrade!

Congrats on the twins! I can confirm that two seats will work fine in the back of an E90 as I currently have one forward and one reverse facing seat in mine. The only issue might be if you have long legs or like your drivers seat back pretty far, as the top of the rear facing seat will most likely be touching or obstructed by the drivers seat back.
I have a solution for the stroller situation too! It's called a baby jogger city select, which is a tandem as opposed to a side by side. Everything comes apart very quickly and fits no problem in my trunk.
That said, we have an SUV too and everything fits in there a lot easier. If the e90 would be your primary family vehicle, it would be worth your sanity to swap it out with something more suitable.

Is the E92 much different, with regard to this topic? There's a reason why I'm asking LOL

Most car seats fit just right in the back. You have to have the passenger front seat advanced to fit a rear looking seat though.

On the stroller side, a big single one does fit (try before though, it's very tight with mine). There is space left for groceries or a second "cane type" stroller.

I do not think a double one would fit, but I may be mistaken as it appears they fold "smaller" than single ones. The problem I foresee is that a single one is already too long, I'd expect a double to be even longer in its folded form.

Drawer padding rolls http://www.amazon.com/Duck-393075-No...ef=pd_sim_hg_3, they are available everywhere locally. Choose the same color as your seats, cut so that you can make 2 layers. No damages, whatsoever, covers a larger area, and is prettier due to being the right color. You can make both seats with a single $5 roll.

Its not so bad. I've seen a turbo Caravan hit 13s. There's a nitrous Odessey out there in the 12s.

But I'd be a complete hippocrit if I didn't mention that my wife and I were in complete parental shock that our freedom was gone after we had our boy. 1 week after he was born we bought a Hummer instead of a minivan.

Probably wasn't the best of ideas, but we've grown used to our bad choice.

Some baby stores will let you take a car seat or stroller out to your car to see how they fit. We did that before our baby was due. Our rear facing seat requires the passenger seat to be pushed pretty far forward. I'm 6' and it wouldn't fit behind me without squishing me into the wheel.

I used to have a double stroller made by Combi that fit in my trunk. it's the kind where the strollers are side by side as opposed to front and back. the stroller would fold in half and you had to kind of work it into the trunk opening but it wasn't to hard.

congrats!

May I suggest a Honda CRV. I have my 335i and my wife had a C300 Sedan prior to our 9month old. We did about 6 months of the C300 and it was tight. Traded it in on a new '13 CRV EX-L. Best decision I've made in a while. It's like maintenencing a lawnmower. Plenty of room, not a mini-van, great on gas, and I mean great... 87 too. One thing to really think about it the baby seat(s) will be mainly in one car. You're not going to switch them back and forth, and you may not even buy 4x car seats. We didn't. We just bought one and my wife's car is the main family car. Just something to think about. So as long as one of parent's car is the "family" mobile you're good.

First of all - congratulations!

Two rear facing seats is going to be a B***h in the back of a 3 series. You can ignore the previous picture since it was one front and one rear - totally different ball game there. I guess it depends on how tall you are as a driver. I've done one rear facing in the back with one forward and it was OK except the passenger seat has to be pretty far up. If I had to move the driver's seat up that far I wouldn't be able to drive safely.

When our kids were small, my BMW basically had to stay home for road trips and we took our SUV. Now that they are a bit older it's no problem of course.

Any chance you could pick up a used SUV or something to last you the first year or so? That's really the worst time. After that it gets much easier and you need less stuff.
