tint ticket.. Removing them. No fine?

Well i got a tint ticket on my older benz.. First time in 8 years ive been stopped in this thing for tints.. 40%..

Anyways, i was going to remove them and go to a police station to get it signed off... Will i pay zero dollars this way?

I can get a receipt i removed them but my friend said even with a recipet, he had to pay the 40 dollar surcharge.

Yes even if you get the tint removed you'll still have to pay a processing fee or whatever they call it. You need a cop friend who can sign off tint tickets, helps a lot lol Tint tickets r a joke though!

Cops no longer sign off on anything anymore as they came down on them for fixing tickets. I would just pay the ticket and move on. Taking them off is not a solution for me at least as I like tinted windows.

Georgia state troopers are PITAs too. Driving from Atlanta to Florida and get pulled over near the state border b/c of my dark 15% tint and tint cover for my plate. Apparently, legal tint for front windows in GA is 32%, FL is 27%. I never get hassled in FL for having 15%/20% tint or the tint plate cover. Cop gave me warning for tint and $95 ticket for tint plate cover. Its just an excuse for cops to pull you over.

So if i get a shop to say i removed them i still have to pay process fee.

But if a cop or precient signs off, I dont have to pay anything?

Does it matter that i was just borrowing my sisters car and it wasnt even my car?

I was gonna go by the 62 and see if they would sign off and remove the tints myself today, just the 2 front windows. It isnt even my car, its my sister CLK i was driving...

If you remove it, and go a precint and have a police officer sign it off i don't think you need to pay. But the car is gonna look like crap imo... it's either all windows tinted or no tint. I can't do half windows tinted and half non tinted... looks dumb

the judge @ the dmv will NOT care if you took them off, your only way of beating this ticket is going to court and hoping the cop doesn't show and simply say u never had the tints on, or there is an exemption form in the dmv where you can have tints, but a doctor has to sign off on it.

Not worried about that, my sister CLK, the tints have been on for a while and one side is peeling, so taking them off was gonna happen either way.
But if i dont have to pay a process fee if i go get it signed off then that would be great.

There is no signing off of tint tickets u have to get them removed with a receipt and picture plead not guilty and go to court. They will simply make u pay 50 bucks a ticket once removed.
