Original Fuel Pump & 100% Problem Free
Currently 36,300 Miles

Car Total: $33,000 (Excludes Tax)
48 Month Finance: .9%

+x2 Month Free Payment (Nov+Dec): having these 2 free payments basically pays half of the CPO cost.

Extended Maintainence: $1,800 (im debating if i should get this or not b/c i do my own oil change, air filter, cabin, etc and the only big thing that needs to be done is the rotors i believe other than that everything is pretty managable...anyone disagree about this?)

Just an FYI. I've been looking at 2007 and 2008 CPOs over the last two months or so. Every dealership build sheet that I've seen lists the cost of CPO at $2,095 - not $3,000.

It sounds good I think. Unless you can get something similar off the lot for much cheaper. It is always good to get a car whose history you know since day 1, so if you find something in the similar price range your own car is still the better option.

Oh by the way, as far as I know the phone payoff includes sales tax, so in case of the payoff from the automated service you may not need to pay extra for tax. Keep that in mind.

CPO plus you know the car - Sounds good to me. I would vote against the $1,800 extended warranty. You can do most of the maintenance stuff yourself anyway.

By the way, my lease is up next month and I wanted something different. I got a killer lease deal on a 2009 Cayman S PDK Sport Chrono.

I hate to leave the 335i fraternity though!!

That's true, maintenance is a relatively predictable thing, it's the repairs that are not. But who wants to borrow $$$ for a 3 y.o. car for 60 mos., regardless of the rate? It's an 8 y.o. car by the time it's paid off for. There's no carrot or stick in that case, just a stick.

My wife's aunt bought a 2k2 Honda Odyssey for $2500 from her brother, who is my godfather. I offered him $2750 and he laughed, when I said $2950 he joked to the aunt that he wants the minivan back. Sometimes people aren't looking to make money on a deal, the $ is just a token if you will of the transaction.

Without knowing the details, who cares about $18k for a 335 clean etc.

I definitely did not buy this from a friend or family member. The car was in an accident and I am repairing it. I actually paid $12,500 for the car. By the time its fixed, I'll have approximately $18,000 into the car all together. You can view my progress here:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=297907

It does not have CPO nor the extended warranty that I'm aware of, although I have not asked about the extended warranty.

Sounds like we are in the same situation. I am also buying my car out from a 3 year lease. I put less miles than I anticipated and I dont want to lease a new one until I see what the LCI will look like, so I will wait a year or so and then make a decision.

My dealership is allowing me to buy the car out for the price that BMW set. I called to see if they would be willing to negotiate on the price and they said that they wont budge on the actual price of the car but will CPO the car for $0. Seems like a good deal for me especially with the low financing.

I will be going to the dealership tomorrow to get everything set. They will be giving me a loaner for a day or two to get the car ready for me.

I never hold on to cars very long, but I love this car and would be OK holding onto it for a bit longer.
