It was a lot of fun. Huge turn out. I was told it reached 400 cars and over 1000 people. Well organized. Some of us received preferred parking inside the day garage, which was really nice out of the sun.

Nope. No activities tomorrow. All wrapped up.

So I had a few other questions about the 335iS before I make a final decision. I searched around but couldn't find the answer. Sorry in advance if they are noob.

1. Does the 335iS have black headliner? (So I want black interior so I'm hoping everything is black inside)
2. Does the 335iS with the six-speed manual have the overboost function or is that only in the seven-speed dual clutch?
3. For those who have a E90/E92 - How is the bluetooth without the navi package?

1. Yes. Called 'anthracite' in the brochures. (Wish I had that in my car...)
2. I'm guessing yes...but that'd be a guess.
3. I like mine...paired well with my blackberry (past) and iPhone (now). Info displayed and controlled on the radio/steering wheel (lots of contacts means lots of scrolling), but I usually just make calls using the phone's controls.

I keep reading that the dct has the overboost function when launching.

Too hot our for an all day event in the sun? I kind of wish they would have held it at Liberty park in the shade. Miller park would be better in October.

Anyone else know about the overboost function on the 335iS?

edit: Is the 1M over boost function similar to the 335iS or is the overboost function in the 1M a actual button?

The Over Boost function is activated under full throttle for about 7 sec. The M button just activates the M Button map for Throttle response making the engine very responsive to throttle changes. Under M mode the engine responds very closely to an NA engine.

Wanted some new tail lights for the car, but don't care for the tint to blacklines so much (on a white car, that is)... Found these aftermarket LED clearlines for a good deal, and am really happy with them. And no errors. Name: 100MEDIA$IMAG0314.jpg

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Is the overboost noticeable?! I've been reading that the 335iS 6MT overboost function isn't as noticeable as the DCT equipped vehicles.

The power builds so smoothly and pulls so hard from say 3K to 6.5K that it's hard to notice the afterboost by itself, it defiantly doesn't all of a sudden get peaky. especially since flooring the car for 7 seconds or so usually results in the need to shift up anyway.

The power range is very linear yet power keeps building quickly as the revs increase. I haven't driven an Auto - DTC with an afterboost to say how it feels.

Thanks for the help. The 335iS is so tempting!

If you haven't already i would suggest you drive a 335i e90 or f30. The power and handling will be a bit less but you will get the general feeling of the 335is.

Throwing my 2 cents in here since I had a 2007 E92. Great car, blast to drive. Great engine, super smooth and power was awesome. Never had a single issue with mine. Might have been since I brought it straight from the Motherland and the break in took place on the Autobahns. I'm not feeling the F30s as of yet. Not sure what it is but they just don't do it for me. All the folks with the n54 will tell you it's great fun and makes plenty of power. I don't think you can go wrong.

Congrats again Nate!

Hope all the Utah folks are doing well.

I've driven both already quite a bit and really the only reason why I want a 335iS is because I'm a huge fan of the E92, hydraulic steering and the N54 motor.

The 335i F30 is awesome because I feel like a 4-door is more practical. The technology in the car is much better and I like the new style.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I thought I'd post some wheels I have for sale. They are VMR CSL reps with M3 fitment. Fronts are 19 X 8.5 et 22 and Rears are 19 X 10 et 25. I'll let them go for $600. Wheels were scratched by tire store and there are minor blemishes. I'll provide photos if anyone is interested. I also have TPMS for 2010+ for $125.
