I got the kit (number 1) a few days ago with the Performance Exhaust as well.
You feel the power instantly, sound is amazing especially taking your foot off the gas you get this very nice burble. I recommend |

Got mine done last week at Global Imports in Atlanta. Had to wait awhile since there was an issue with the software looking for a module that wasn't there ( auto trans?) on my car. Anyway they worked through it, and same as the others...a nice, if not dramatic change. Mine's a N54 so no"burble" but the exhaust does sound different somehow. Can't really put my finger on it, but it is different. Biggest noise change seems to be from the turbos themselves. I was making a quick left turn, punched it in second at the apex and I could hear a very satisfying turbo wind up noise. Never happened before the ppk install. Is there more power? Yes. But the biggest difference is throttle response. You move the the throttle even a smidgen and the motor is right f--ing there. Of course having a fresh hpfp helps as well. Is it expensive? Yes. But I have two years of CPO left on the car, and it's an MDS 81 dme so it'll tattle on an add on unit. So if your in a similar situation, I wouldn't even hesitate to do this.

I have 2011 BMW 335i with M sports package, I was looking at upgrading with PPK-1, the dealer at San Antonio, TX quoted me $880 + Labor.
Do you guys think its fair deal? He also told me, the whole upgrade process might take a complete day or so, that means total will be even more including labor charges. Please advice.... |

Also that price is far to high. Scroll up a few posts and you'll see where it's being sold by a vendor for under $700. I don't want to get off topic but for $880 plus labor you'd could get into a far greater tune. I'd imagine you want to keep your warranty intact since your vehicle is new so depending on how far you want to go into modding the PPK may be for you. Search for some reviews and you'll fine a lot of useful info about performance and prices. I've noticed my dealer has been willing to price match online with small items so if I ever decide to get the PPK Im going to see if they will price match it. |

That may also include the intercooler. Got the software (stage 1) done at Maranello for way less, but took almost the entire day of downloading and programming.

Reviving this thread.
Not sure if prices have gone up in general or OC dealerships here in SoCali are just being greedy. Got a quote for $799.00 + $360 for install. Not sure if that even includes the gloss black grills!?!?! Anyone from the OC that have done of with Crevier or Irvine BMW?

This is the best price I have found, $450 on ebay for the software only.

I'm not planning on modding the heck out of the engine and just wanted a little more hp/tq. The 335i with the M-Sport package is one of the best looking convertible, IMO, has the room I need for my wheelchair, and a nice combination of power, handling and gas mileage. Can't go wrong with the PPK for $450 and the PE for $1099. I'm keeping her 6yrs/100k miles or longer.

Guys tuning this engine will not affect the longevity at all. Driving style and maintenance does. If you drive and maintain a tuned car the same way you would a stock/PPK car, they will be equally reliable. However if you plan on going for even more power than a basic tune, you will need supporting mods such as a charge pipe, FMIC, down pipes, etc. However the car will still be just as reliable if maintained and driven properly.
I too considered the PPK but the price was too high for such little power. I couldn't be happier with my Cobb AP. At the end of the day, these engines can handle A LOT more power than stock/PPK. |

I don't want to crap on Tischer's thread because they've been very cool with the few orders I've placed with them and have also been very helpful with the email support, but I *have* been given a quote of $750 for a Cobb AP. Rather than elaborate here though if you want more info we should probably take it elsewhere.
