This has been discussed a lot on this forum already.

Search for "extra oil cooler". You'll find more info on this. There is a way you can check to see if you have an extra oil cooler.

I don't own a 335i myself so I haven't been paying attention...but likely this overheating is not really an issue unless you track your car.

i haven't even come close to overheating yet, and i have driving it hard on hot days, but the hottest was about 20 degrees, i will wait to see how it is in the 30 degree weather.

The overheating problems that i have read were from tracking the car not driving it around the city.

Also letting the car sit during bumper to bumper traffic can raise the temps too. Once you're moving and fresh air is being fed in, you'll be fine.

I don't have an oil cooler, and it's not an issue so far ... in fact, it's tough to get the oil warm enuf and quick enuf to do it's job properly on regular commutes. It's fine even in the rockies where you end up going upslope for hours on end..

Regardless, if you feel better with an oil cooler, you can get one put in.. I think they list at around $350 plus install..

See Link for Fix

Many of the early 335i's were missing factory oil coolers, located in the right wheel well. If you go through BMA customer service directly, they will order and install. Mine was missing, I had an October 06’ Build date.

March Production? If so, its my understanding that you should have an oil cooler already, no?
