e90 wheel size info needed

Will a 19 x 9.5 et40 wheel fit onto an e90 without arch mods?

Why? My current Alpina has 19 x 19.5 wheels on (not sure on et though) and it looks fine.

The ones I have in mind apparently have a 90mm dish, so this should counter the sunken look if my thinking is correct.

They'll fit and look fine. Ultimately it comes down to your offset. Assuming your putting 9.5x19s on the rear you'll want a ET-35 to 40 to avoid rub.

I have a set of 9x19 and 10x19s to go on

you should research what offsets are, how to measure them, and what they mean.

Fronts will fit and look pretty good. The Rears should fit but will be a bit sunk in, you might want to toss a 20mm or so spacer on them.

Below is a photo of our E92 with 19x9 et28 in the front and 19x10 et20 in the rear. Compared to the photo a 19X9 et40 will sit 6mm further in the wheel well in the front and 26mm further into the wheel well in the rear.

so my concerns about arch rubbing are unfounded with this size wheel, if anything I would need spacers. Ok so whats the lowest offset 19" wheel I could squeeze under the rear arches without mods?

Perhaps a little but nothing too extreme. I do quite like the stretched look though
