Lightbulb 335i and a Boost Controller

Maybe a stupid question but not sure whether these can just be fitted to something like the 335 as easy as they are with older turbo'd cars ive had.

Can this be fiited, such as an HKS EVC 5/6 and they a remap carried out to accomodate for the increase in boost?

Im looking at tuning ideas and was thinking along the lines of:

- Turbo back system
- HFC's
- Increase boost to around a bar? What are they standard?
- Remap
- Intake or upgraded panel filter

Thanks for any information in advance,

Chris

JB4 shows boost on the dashboard. JB4 is an intelligent piggy back device which connects to the ECU, effectively a remap allowing you to up the boost etc but with more functionality than a traditional remap (delete error codes, gauge hijacking etc etc etc..) do a search for JuicedUp tuning - Neil is a good guy (and forum sponsor)..

I have a JB4, AR Design Catless dp's, Burger motorsport Dual Cone Intakes, and ETS Intercooler. pushing 420+bhp reliably at 14psi.

Next for me is Water/Meth injection 16.5 - 18psi and circa 480+bhp reliably.

All of which Neil can provide.

Garage List
You can find all the stuff Phil has mentioned here

http://www.juiceduptuning.co.uk/index.asp

Combo deal for JB4 + DCI approx £ 390
AR Downpipes £ 590
ETS FMIC £ 645

So just over £ 1,600 for the components on their own

Dp's and intercooler cost £300 to fit together.

Jb4 and dci was free, easy DIY..

Good advice above
Also have a read up on the other methods.
Evolve remap
Cobb tuning handheld flash
Proceed

Any of the above, +fmic (Neil may have an ets unit in stock still)
Catless dp's
Possible air filter
=
Breaking 400bhp easy.

True

Evolve has a cracking deal on at present too!

Benefit of a piggy is you can progressively add mods without added cost. Procede is also a highly rated piggy but not so popular in uk.

Cobb is getting good reviews in the US.

Take a look at the n54 tuning section. Do some searching, the same questions get asked there all day long and you'll get flamed..

Hi Chris,

The JB4 plugs into the ECU using plug and play connector blocks giving it access to the CANBus in the same way the ECU has. This allows the JB4 to control the fuel, boost, waste-gates and optionally the timing via the CPS module.

The JB4 has its own processor and allows the tune to offer many features like on the fly map changes, steering wheel button control, built in DP Fix, meth integration, in dash gauge hi-jacking for boost on oil etc. There are also many driveability features such as reduce boost for 1st and 2nd gear.

Its works with your mods. Add in DPs and/or FMIC using MAP 5 it will auto learn and increase boost. You can also choose to move to a preset boost map designed specifically for bolt-ons.

Via the USB Cable and JB4 graphical software you can log boost, timing, IAT and more for diagnostics. This includes codes reading and deleting.

A new feature recently added was the ability to have the DTC button automatically push once so you don't have to push the button every time you get in the car.

Simply put the JB4 powers the most power N54 cars in the world!! That 500+ whp

The JB4 comes with a 14 day full money back guarantee. Theres no reason not to try it

Awesome combo deal on the JB4 and DCI...

Extra performance from a JB4 is HIGHLY addictive.

Once you pop - you cant stop!

Neil whats the best enclosed intake system for the 335i?

Also do you do combo deals if all were bought together ... dps fmic etc?

Is fmic (intercooler) hard to fit?

Chris
Intercooler is a direct fit no cutting and with axle stands at home 1-1.5hrs max.

Yes, we can look at a deal if you purchase all at once

Search Mr 5 intake. Really though for price of the DCI vs performance gain over the Mr 5 intake the DCI wins on cost performance basis.
