Brake Pad and Rotor Replacement

Gentlemen, I have a brake job coming due soon...

What are some rotors/pads/fluid that you would recommend? I would like it to be better than OEM or at the very least OEM quality. I also do not wish to sacrifice any sort of smoothness or gain Brake Squeal with any sort of replacement? What are some good options? Also does replacing the lines to stainless help a bit?

This forum is full of information, did you search?

Stoptec has tons of good reviews, and ECS Tuning has rotor kits as well. It really depends on what you need or are building.

Stainless lines if you are tracking the car or want to make more rigorous and sustained use of the brakes. To prevent brake squeal use an anti-squeal paste or copper grease on the backs of the pads where they make contact with the callipers and pistons.

+1 for ECS Tuning - they have lots of great stuff and BMW Performance parts, so OEM, but better than the standard components!

OEM blanks are good rotor replacement. Hawk HPS or Performance Ceramic are good brake pads(we carry both). If your car is mainly daily driven, you don't need SS brake lines. ATE is a good brake fluid.....again, if it's just street driven then any DOT 3/4 fluid will do. Just make sure it's new and you bleed your brakes after the install (or make sure the shop does it).
