You just need to clean/sand the covers and buy heat resistant primer(optional) and heat resistant paint of your choice and heat resistant clearcoat you can get all this at o reillys, they have more colors than autozone, well at least in my area

Thats not paint...Its triple chrome plated! Left house less than a pound came back 7.2 lbs

Its not cheap either. Price is around $700 around about

You dont get one...Take out your engine cover and send it out to Pauls Chrome plating. Wait about a month and they will have it back to you looking like mine...It cost alot but so nice if your into chrome..

For those of you who painted the engine cover, how did you get a nice glossy polished look? Did you use some rubbing compound to smoothen and polish the paint?
