Maybe this ship was only taking cars to Charleston and NY and you're going to a different port? Dunno... sorry man...

How did you find out it was on this ship? I dropped my car (3335i coupe) off at Harms (Munich) on the 5th of November and yesterday I called the ED office and whomever it was I spoke to said it wasn't on a ship yet. I find it hard to swallow that I dropped it off before you with no damage and still no ship assignment. I figured you may have another route to take to find out where it may be. The BMWED dept keeps telling me to wait and see. WTF is that? Can't somebody make a call to Harms to find out where it is or why it hasn't shipped? Crazy!
Any advice?

Thanks,
F1

Edit:After taking a moment to breath, I logged on to Bimmerfest and accessed the ED Wiki. Using the VIN I was able to determine that my car was loaded on the Liberty on Nov. 12th and is currently in route to NY. It is due to arrive in NY on the 26th. It's too bad BMW ED has to be so in the dark.....don't they have the Internet available to them in the office? A little cross checking would have made them look great instead of seeming so powerless. Oh well, by Monday, the next time I was to call ED in NJ, the ship should be arriving at port with my car. With any luck it will only need to be there for a couple of weeks max. Sorry to have jumped the gun.

Turns out these RoRo carrier ships are enormous. The Faust can carry 6500 cars, so 4000 cars on a single ship isn't unheard of.

Also, I think I snapped a picture of the Toronto instead. The Courage is painted blue while the Toronto is red.

Hey F1,
I didn't bother with BMW's ED dept at all, I got the info directly from Harms by emailing jessicab@ehharms.com, instant response! Glad you found your car on the Liberty, it looks like it'll hit NY a few days before the Courage.

I will keep that in mind for next time. I was just glad it wasn't sitting all alone on a dock somewhere lost!

Cheers,
F1

Any of you try tracking the ship? I cant seem to find the Courage with any of ship tracking sites? I know its not going to get here any quicker by watching it but I thought it would be cool to see where the ship is located over the next couple weeks.

What I've been doing is this... track your car on the site as usual via the "auto cargo" tracking link. Once you have your car up, click on the "Voyage: EB747-COG" link. That will take you to the list of ports the ship is hitting. The ones in red are ports that it has already visited.

I know it isn't real time... but it's better than nothing.

what link you click on to track your car?

I don't think my car is on this boat. When i called the 800 # it said my car is in transit. I's sure its on this boat.

Oh just noticed you're in SoCal. W&W only delivers to the east coast I believe. West coast deliveries are on another shipping company. Check out the stickies in this forum... should be some info in there for ya.

This thread is like deja vu...got my car a little over 2 weeks ago...delivered by the Courage. Good to see a pic of the vessel that brought my baby over here!

I know what everyone here is going through. It will be worth it, so hang in there!

Damn that thing is moving slowly...

Did any of you used to play "Ports of Call"? (showing my age here...) There was an option to speed up time in-between ports, we need that for the Courage
