Using sealant on clearcoated wheels

So im about to be purchasing some new wheels for the 3, and I was thinking about adding some Blackfire sealant on them prior to mounting tires. The wheels are clearcoated. What do you guys think? Has anyone done this before? Im wondering if it will make them easier to clean, as they are when you wax them. Also, would there be any harm in sealing the whole wheel, including the insides that would never be exposed to the elements?

Yes you surely can, only expect it to last a month max. A lot of heat and constantly being hit with metal shards / brake dust.

No issue in doing the entire wheel, and while it lasts, it'll help keep the wheels slightly cleaner while making them much easier to clean.

Sounds good, I guess I'll go ahead and do it. I think it'll be easier to clean and reapply later after I apply the first coat prior to mounting.

Lol, yeah, I guess I should just keep it consolidated into one post. Will remember that next time.

I always wax/polish/seal my wheels. it lasts for at least 2 months and my wheels stay cleaner for longer because less brake dust can stick onto it. even when it does, it easily comes off during the wash.

I've had good luck with Klasse AIO. It's a powerful (chemical) cleaner and has some sealant qualities. It usually leaves the wheels slippery smooth. If I use it quarterly, I'm able to just wash the wheels with a wash-mit and car-wash (and avoid the harsh wheel cleaner).

The Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger is one of my favorite products for the paint, that can also be used on the wheels, glass headlights, etc. If you have any other questions please let me know.
