I share your sentiments as I'm having to lose my straight-pipe/catless midpipe in favour of a high flow catted & resonted midpipe just so that the catless DP's won't boom and rasp my ears to death . You could keep the exhaust to be honest if you installed robust resonators in the midpipe as I am.

Cozy
I have read your DP post elsewhere in the forum. Have you got yr new mid pipe with HJS HFC's yet? If so where did you source the parts and get it fabricated/installed? Cheers Dave |

Hi Dave.
Well fortunately I stumbled across something very fortunate, Milltek midpipes with built in 200cell HJS Cats. The Milltek development car got stripped and sold so I grabbed the midpipes...although they don't fit technically, well at least not at the axle back section anyway (flanged and separate on E82 unlike e9x which is one piece I believe) Because the Milltek axle back is intended to sleeve on. So, I saved some cash perhaps but I'll still need to get the rear end of the midpipes, the resonator end, chopped and flanged to fit with my BMWPE. I'm at AMD Essex next week who are heavily associated with Milltek/HJS but also make their own pipes. Would you like me to ask what they'd charge? Would you be looking for midpipes only, as I take it you're happy with the silencer assembly? J |

I could be tempted, do you have any sound clips? The one I found on youtube (back boxes only) didn't sound that different from my current OEM box with AR downpipes.

PM a offer, probably too low really, but as of last week I have in theory finished with 'modding' the car so cannot really justify spending too much on it.

Originally its because I was going for a different look (long story with the ordering process) as well as a catless setup which would be too loud but now I've actually decided to sell the car, so I'm selling all the bits I did buy for it such as LCI rear conversion, lowering springs and this exhaust.

Ah ok - so with catless DP's (which I have) it would be too loud ?

I don't think so no, for completely catless yes, best to keep stock silencer to control the volume. I wanted a little punch (the sport system from Supersprint is barely louder than standard) but I do the school run so needed to stay reasonable. Then decided to go catless, then decided to sell lol

So just to confirm - this will fit a 335d coupe?
I think I might take these off your hands at £500 |

Will it make any difference to the sound of a D though?
