Welcome to my E90 build thread, everything will be posted here even small mods to update regularly.

IG: taranofficial
Car Fiend: @Taran.j

Background

Bought as a daily driver/beater in August of 2012. I come from a family line of Mercedes' which I had no intension of ever buying a 3 series it definitely is a more solid and overall joy to drive over my 2008 C350, 2009 C300, and 2009 A4 respectfully. The helpful and knowledgable Bimmerpost community surpassed my expectations in what I could achieve out of this 328i. The best part of this car has to be its driver engagment over other luxury cars in this catorgory. The steering response, the suspension modded by just springs, perches, and struts to give the ultimate drivers car a little more grip in the hills. My e90 came as stock as they came in 2007, its an early build with a date of production of 11/06. I got none of the goodies and doing no research of this car or any BMW for that matter and buying it unseen in 35 minutes it was a risk I would like to say paid off. It came without any packages so I recieved the bare minimal. My car has gone through some stages (Seen throughout my videos). I started it off as a daily driver which would get no love, just miles, gasoline, rock chips, and service. But the ease of modifying this car and being "Bit by the mod-bug" only left it stock for about 48 hours. It was a California lease return car so it came with a n51 motor (3 stage from factory) which is paired to an Active Autowerkes tune, charcoal delete in the stock air intake box, and a OEM BMW performance exhaust. With decent performance and no turbo the N51 in my opinion is the last REAL naturally aspirated inline 6 from BMW. Which in my case is great as I do not have more things under my hood to worry about but for a daily driver and a head turner I believe what I envisioned after signing up for this forum and understanding BMW's and what they stood for this is the pinnacle of motoring for this generation of automotive history.

I'd like to thank the countless PM's with forum members who have shared their knowledge and ease of DIY with me over long evenings in garages, Facetime and text messages.

To the companies who get my parts when I want them and for the price I can live with - Van Cours Custom Installs in Puyallup, WA, Griots Garage Detailing service in Tacoma, WA, Kao@BIM Coding in Renton, WA for all of my coding needs.

Here is a full list of my modifications, pictures, and videos from along the way.

Enjoy, Taran.J

My iPad connects to a Belkin unit which is mounted inside of the cubby behind the gear shifter and plugged into the aux cable and 12v in the armrest, and now my iPad is my headunit (My other cars have built in SD card slots for audio {2009 Mercedes'} so going back to single CD was not a option).

Taran did you wrap the roof yourself? I'm thinking about wrapping a front lip with some 3M CF but not sure how it's going to turn out

My roof isn't wrapped. My hood was and yes I did it myself. Just buy 3m glue promoter and run it along the edges. Other than that it's a simple task. If Chris you don't want to diy call up Mark Wu....

I'll suggest adding a sports wheel or an m3 wheel like I have done to complete the interior... Wouldn't say I would do the same mods as you, but clean car otherwise !
