Questions about Angel Eyes on a '06 325i sedan?
As stated, I have a 2006 325i sedan and I want to put angel eyes on the car. It did not come with them factory. What parts do I need to buy to get them to work? Is it just replacing bulbs or is it a whole new housing and everything? Also which brand would be best for angel eyes bright enough that they can be seen during the middle of the day? Preferably with an option to get them with a slight blue hue.
Thanks all for answering. Still learning and a QUICK search didn't really give me the answer I was looking for. That or I was misunderstanding what I was reading but everything I found appeared to be for cars that already had angel eyes looking to upgrade them to a different brightness or color. Also what is the correct bulb for my foglights? I have read somewhere that I need a H8 bulb but elsewhere I read I need an H11 bulb? I was thinking about getting the HID conversion kit for the fogs from Burger Tuning: http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_HID_...grade_kit.html They say it's for either an H8 or an H11, so would that mean that it would work on my car? If you dont have xenon than you will not have angel eyes....if you do have xenon then you already have AE, then get some LUX for upgrade

I do not have the angel eyes on my car now. I know this. That is not my question. My question was what I would have to do to get them on my car. Is it the whole housing that needs replaced? If so, what is the replacement housing I should buy? Is there a part number to buy it from BMW or is an aftermarket replacement available somewhere online for cheaper? If I replace the housings, do I have to replace the wiring harnesses? What all do I need to do / replace to get angel eyes on my car.
I don't mean to be rude, but you just told me what I already know and did nothing to actually help answer my question. Do you know the answer to any of the questions listed in this post or the initial post, both about the headlights and the foglights. Thanks |

Theres no plug and play mods...you either do alot of modification to your lights or completely change the headlights
My initial answer is that if you dont have xenons than theres not much you can do...you didnt mean to be rude but you sound like youre bitchin lol

I replaced my with BMW OEM Xenons but it wasn't 100% plug and play. Total cost was around $1150. Your other option is to get LCI Halogen BMW headlights because they come with angel eyes. The Halogens would be fully plug and play.

Are the LCA headlights the same size as non LCA headlights or are there other things such as the hood or front bumper that need to be replaced if they are a different design?
As for the fogs, what is this error canceler that you say i'll need? The fogs that I am looking to get say they are H8/H11. Will those work on a 2006 (pre-LCA) car? If it will throw and error message, what will it be and how do I correct it? I am not used to anything as high tech as this car is, all previous cars have been American made and '03 or older, thus not having any sensors or codes that get thrown (other than the standard dummy lights). I am asking all these questions because I want to make sure that what I order will work and not have 10000 other issues come up because I did XYZ mod, especially when said mod is 2+ times more expensive than on my previous cars. I'm a college student and don't have a ton of extra money to waste |

LCI headlights work on PRE LCI cars.
Fog lights I had a problem with I have PRE LCI and need the canceler but ppl say 07 has hid troubles but I got mine working fine just blew the canceler yesterday though not sure if I had a bad ballast or canceller still hav to look. Yours says it doesn't need canceler so u probably don't |
