Can I add bluetooth??

Hi,

I've just picked up my first ever BMW and I love it!! It's an 8 month old 318d M Sport E90. It has all the buttons on the steering wheel for using a mobile phone, but I don't want to pay BMW's crazy prices for a full kit!!

I used to have a Parott CK3000 in an old car, where the phone just connects via bluetooth and comes through the speakers. Is there something like this that can be used, but so that the steering wheel buttons can be used instead of needing to have the horrible looking Parott controls stuck somewhere??

Thanks in advance for any replies, and I'm loving being a BMW owner and driver now!

I have indeed, but it would appear that the costs are in excess of $600 or about £300 to me! The Parott kit I was used to cost £40! Is there anyway of getting the desired results on a budget?

Ah, I see. You're looking for a Parrot steering wheel adapter.

I think this is what you want:

http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/s...parrotmultican.

but I don't have any experience with it. Mr5 has one

i installed parrot with quickconnect kit. the entire setup cost me $425 and took me about 2 hours to install everything.

100% OEM look and steering wheel buttons work fine

Sounds like that's what I need, don't suppose you know the model number or exact name of the 'quick connect' kit I need?

I've got Parrot CK3100 and the Parrot BMW Multican fitted to my E90.
It works OK, but I'm not impressed, but then it didn't cost me the £535 BMW wanted for bluetooth.....
Multican doesn't allow you to scroll through the Parrot kit's menu using the steering-wheel buttons, nor does it allow you to scroll through your contacts list using the s/w buttons. You can initiate a call (press the s/w button to start voice dial), end a call, recall the LAST number dialled, and increase/decrease the volume, using the s/w buttons, but that's it.
IMO the inability to scroll through your contacts or go through the Parrot kit's menu, using the s/w buttons, makes the multican a total waste of money - even if it's only c. £50.
