Group Buy 3M Clear Bra Installation. (South Jersey/Philly Metro area)

South Jersey/ Philly metro area.

Well, I know a guy who does real good job and he is the 3M clear bra authorized installer and works at a few Ferrari/bmw/porsche/audi dealerships.

So, I had hm install 3M clear bra last year on my IS300 and he did an exceptional job. (but a little pricy).

So, I am posting here to feel if there are anyone else who might be interested geting installed for the winter, as there are going to be much rock salt on the road and all.

The bra looks great and works like a charm so far for me...

It is about $1000 for custom work (in case you have a body kit).

So, basically, if I can get maybe 4 or 5 cars (including mine), I can probably get him to come down to about $700-800.

Trust me, it is worth $700.

This is the website and there are some pictures on there, including some Audi R8 he just installed and some Ferraris/Porsches/BMWs/Audis

http://clearchoicedetailing.com/

Oh, 3M does offer warranty (I forgot how long).

The job will take about 4-5 hours. So, basically, once we reach 5 people, we agree to a price, then he will go to your place (or his shop), to install.

So, how about it?

$200 for the entire front end?

Bumper, side panel, 30% of the front hood, and mirrors?

Really?

Would you please provide the details of where you got it done and some pictures would be great!

I am all down for it if it is for $200 from an 3M authorized installer or if he does a good job.

i got this done about 2 years ago, and it was from Ziebart.

Sorry it was $300. 100 for install, and 199 for clearbra.

where is Ziebart?

May I have a location/phone?

I am in philly, so I can travel to NJ (not that far) if it is only $300.

I never seen any place do it for such low price, so I'd be very interested if that Ziebart still exists... or...

Does he do ventureshield? I'd be interested in that over 3M.

I'm in for clearbra

Hey everyone. Brand new to these forums... a friend referred me to this in reference to a clear bra for my new 135i. I just picked it up last week, and I gotta say, it is a bad ass car. Always said I'd NEVER buy a BMW, and now after driving it for a week, I don't think I'll ever buy anything but. Anyway, I'm down in maryland, so if anyone is up for going in as a group for clear bras let me know. I hear it is much cheaper than the dealer. They quoted me 1200 and my friend told me that that is ridiculous. Anyway... let me know...

I just signed up for the forum and short on time at the moment so sorry for the lack of an introduction.

I just called Ziebart and their current price is $600-$700 if they have to order the kit or $400-$500 if you have the kit and they do the labor.

I'm going with a 3M kit off Ebay with 20mil headlight and foglight protection for $199. Not sure if this is going to be much harder than tinting but I'll give it a try.

I've seen the difference between 3M and Ventureshield. If there were to be any scratches or if you happen to rub too hard on it you will regret it. 3M is the way to go.

Umm..
Ventureshield > 3M. Essentially it's the same stuff but Ventureshield offers bigger film so you can cover entire car. 3M is impossible. Also I got some scuffs from other cars before...and the Ventureshield took care of everything...paint untouched.

i have to agree with Kelvin here; Ventureshield is much superior to 3M. It is even used by some car manafacturers as OEM equipment.

I believe the guy who did my IS300 used Ventureshield as well.. (I think he does both, 3M or VS, depending on what you prefer)

I have decided not to get clear bra, since I bought the "StayNu" end to end warrenty for my car that would cover all rock chips, scratches, window cracks, etc etc~

I'm just gonna repaint my whole front if needed every spring. :O
