My Hatch/Convertible Dilemma
Hi all, The time has come for me to change my own car, I have decided on options and now have to make the final decision (which I hope you will all help with), whether to go with the hatch or the convertible? My decision will be based purely on aesthetics, not considering any differences in price, performance, insurance etc. The optional packages are exactly the same on each, the convertible will also have a DAB radio included. Will appreciate your opinions and any advice you have to share. Thanks in advance, Anneka |

Think you'll have a chance some time soon to run by at some point for a Navi swap? |

So when I want that half price ceramic brake upgrade I know who to turn to!! With regards to the Navi - if you're talking about the one in 135i I did get an email to my work from Gareth earlier in the week but I've been off sick so didn't see it until today. Vicki can drop the car off anytime next week so just let me know when (oh, and thanks for your help with this!) |

Hi Anneka, not a fan of soft tops myself, but either one you can't go wrong with imo. It is a Mini afterall.
If residuals play their part in your decision, could that sway you one way or the other? |

Hi Helen, I'm not the biggest fan either to be honest, but I love the Mini with the top down. I plan to keep it for about a year and then switch again. The convertible is a bit more expensive but rare with this spec.

Think the 'vert would suit you... park ours next to each other at the next meet Midnight black? Wish they did more of a charcoal black And really the web-spoke wheels? Much prefer the JCW R113 myself...

I really need to make my mind up, but it's so difficult. Charcoal? Not sure about that, but you must see the matt black M3 at Canary Wharf, I drove past yesterday evening, the paint carries so much sheen it looks like silk. Last edited by Anneka @ Sytner; 11-26-2010 at 06:41 PM.. |

Oh no, problems aren't good. Surely it can't be a spec change? There's only one option left to add, and that's the one we removed!

I may be wrong but looking at the pictures it looks like a One Convertible or a Cooper Hatch?
I'd definitely be going for the cooper over the one, as that extra few HP makes a big difference! |

You're the only person who noticed this, and right too. The power difference isn't really a concern for me, the Mini One is suprisingly nippy. For what the car will be used for, mainly getting around town, I doubt there will be an opportunity for me to regret not having the extra hp.
