I've only been pulled over once for the 3 years that I've had the car. That was because the cop was in my neighborhood and just finished pulling someone else over. Young cop, maybe needed some experience. I had 33%. Been next to plenty of cops who cared less about my tint.

Ive had 35 percent on my previous two cars, VW CC and my wifes Buick LaCrosse. Both cars had smaller side windows so the tint showed relatively dark for what it was. I am looking at getting tint done on my E90 and am debating between 35 and 20 percent all the way around. I have the oyster interior, so it will show pretty light. Anyone have 20 percent on the E90 in NOVA, and if so any tickets? I know the cops in VA are douchebags and will pull for anything they can, so Im not sure if its worth going to 20. I do have the medical waiver which I know allows for 35 all the way around. Any input is appreciated

I know someone that has an E92 M3 with 20% tint and gets pulled over a lot....the car is SS with dark interior.

If I were you (and I have the waiver as well) I would get the 35% tint and make sure the waiver is on your registration. At least you are beating them (legally) at their own game....

I have 40/20 on my car, no issues yet and ive been pulled over more than once for other things, nothing was ever said about the tint. the key I believe is having the front windows noticeably lighter than the rear.

I no longer have my E92. I now have an E90 and will not tint it partly because that's one less reason the douches have to pull me over. I'm going to buy rear and back sun shades...lol
