possibly, but if it's not noticeable they could just sell it at the regular price. RPI is coming out with an updated/improved model as well too. so it could just be their "clearance" price.

The scoops pictured are RPI's v2. Maybe they'll be a v3, but honestly, short of not requiring the use of self tapping screws, I can't imagine there is much they can change. The v1s were boxier, like the swoop scoops sold through a vendor here.

markup on these must be over 1000%. i know materials are less than $1 per unit... considering all other related cost, still it's way over priced... well, someone's making money off this thing...

that's a hell of a mark down, what's the minor flaw? do they just send you a sheet of alu, a small hammer, a spraycan and paper instructions?
