I did it, and so did my friend. Looks great, works great, but unfortunately the parking button doesn't work.
Bought it from http://www.motivemods.com/BMWRetrofi.../mm-sst-d3.htm |

The parking button does work but pushing the selector all the way to the top will be P for our standard gearbox. At the end of the day, there are still two different gearbox. Do you mind to share some picture of your nice DCT selector in the cabin? Thanks |

There are plenty of examples lying around the forum, here's the link to one of them http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417142
Connection is simple, you basically only need to plug in two cables. And it comes with a DCT shift base. However you are required to cut down the shift lever to get it to the correct height. |

Hey cartaa, it fits onto the same stalk that oem knob does. You can think of it as a..replacement.
The one from the site comes with a DCT shift base, the silver frame thingy, it fits RHD and will replace your oem black bezel. Hope that helps. |

Lol I too thought it was the whole tranny.
If it's just the shifter I suggest go for the M3/M5 M shifter, looks heaps better and it's shorter. I have the M3 Shifter on my 335i, all the lights work on the shifter It's a must do mod hahaha You can get the retrofit from motivemods or do a diy, see link below. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=232777 |
