how to procede v4 to v5

sorry for the newb question and i did look around the forums a bit but want to be sure.

a friend is selling his 335i and wants to sell me his procede v4, he claims that all i have to do is update the unit to v5.

the only thing that confuses me is this professional and enthusiast business that i did not notice before. can someone please clarify? thanks

edit: oh and the vin locking thing i assume is new as well

v4 to v5 is free. all you have to do is update the firmware and maps. since you have v4, all the options are unlocked for you. you don't have to worry about the different versions since v4 is grandfathered in.
