So far yes, unless I'm stuck with a huge assignment that I can't work out in any way possible w/o having to cancel.

Then rit will kill me

I am definitely considering attending...I'll decide by the end of the weekend. She goes in for service 1/22 so if everything's taken care of, I'll head that way on Friday.

Not that fast, maybe 70 at the fastest? I know that times I reached near the end of 2nd, I didn't push it, because it was snowing earlier and the roads were wet. Plus it wasn't my car.

It was kinda a spur of a moment, but not really thing.

Trust me, the drive is not worth it, unless you're convoying with a very large group.

I would never take anyone else's car on a road like The Dragon. I'd be too scared that I'd wreck and probably would just because of that thought. Whenever I drive a car other than my own I take it pretty light because if you crash not only will you have to worry about how much it's going to cost but also how you're going to explain to the owner what happened and beg for his or her forgiveness. It's just a big embarrassment any way you slice it.

Uh oh! So you're saying The Dragon isn't worth the hassle of driving down/up there? Not good to hear considering my drive time will be about 9 hours each way.

It is if the condition is right. It took us about nine hours to and from the Dragon. If we went with a group, it would have been fun. Also, it was SUPPOSED to be sunny when we went, but then there was a flash storm. The weather is really impossible to predict during the winter there. Hell, you experience different climates as you change elevation.

If the roads are warm and grip is high and you're traveling with other cars, then it's definitely worth it.

Well, at times I was contemplating whether or not to push it, common sense won this time.

Plus it was cold and the roads were wet from the snow, I would have pushed it if it were dry.

Initial Weather Forecast for Jan 27

Accuweather.com predicts sunshine on Jan 27 with their 15-day forecast. The preceding several days also indicate no rain, so our chances are looking pretty good at this early stage.
