I could be wrong, but, I think the average retail price is $799,... $625 retail would be a great deal.

I think you are thinking of the N55 pipes,.. they are cheaper.

Actually guys, new ones seem to go for $835 shipped, so a pretty good deal for lightly used.

I see you have a 335i listed but you are from Toronto, but I will ask anyway because I want some used DPs. Any chance these fit an XI? If so, very interested.

what does being certified have to do with dps? you know if engine blows up you are still covered because the exhaust has nothing to do with engine load especially since it relieves pressure if anything.

....

If they see aftermarket downpipes they will 99% deny a warranty claim.

I had aftermarket downpipes and catless midpipes welded to the stock muffler... They didn't say anything when they replaced my fuel pump or differential buddy.

Don't spread bullshit, you just have to find a service advisor who isn't as anal as Sasha Grey.
Even if they did try to void your warrant, they would have to prove that the downpipes were the sole cause of the problem.

Oh, you mean they didn't void your fuel pump or differential warranty because of parts that have nothing to do with either? Weird, that's a huge surprise:rolleyes!:

That might be because a dealership can't void a warranty, they can only deny a warranty claim. It might also be because those parts have nothing to do with your fuel pump or differential. Would they deny a claim to replace a doorside armrest because of your downpipes and midpipe?

Kudos to you for finding a good SA. More kudos for getting warranty work done even when you have mods that aren't related to it. When you have your turbos replaced and you go in there with your downpipes and midpipes, please flame me.

I haven't heard of anyone having downpipes or being FBO and getting engine warranty work done or turbos replaced. Then again, that might be because no one's that stupid to make a claim with mods on.

Exactly... they wouldn't deny a claim for my fuel pump or differential but they would have denied a claim on my turbos/wastegates because the downpipes could potentially cause their failure. Even without a tune, the lower back pressure raises boost. However, they would still legally have to prove that the modification was what caused the damage. In most cases, even if anything fails, if you remove all modifications and go to the dealer for warranty work you should be ok. Just work with a shop you can trust and hopefully there isn't much evidence of prior modification that could potentially lead to a PUMA case.

Just to clarify, since a lot of these posts are untrue and may hurt the sale if not corrected...

Not true... brand new are ~$800. $675 is a great deal... wouldn't hesitate at snatching these (but I already have AR Design DP's =P)

Doesn't really matter... it's just a pipe...

Not true either... if it's related, then they might deny a warranty claim... for example I have some wastegate rattle, which we all know is common on stockers, but I wouldn't be surprised if BMW denied the claim because of my DP's... that being said, almost everything else would be covered under warranty.
