should I remove scoops prior to service?
What do you guys think? Im sure they can say it will cause water to get into the intake and that it might void the warranty or something gay like that. It goes in for service on tues. and I also need to remove jb3 before I forget...lol
also, it might make them dig deeper because of the scoops. Do you guys agree or am I paranoid? thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry about the scoops nor the drop-in, unless it rains that day. Just take out the tune and you're good.

It seems my dealer is sort of out of the loop as far as mods go. When I talk to them they give me the vibe that they dont know or care about any of the mods people do. The tune is coming out for sure. My biggest fear is bmw putting in a puma case if something happened to the car and a field engineer looking at it. then I could be screwed. luckily my car has been flawless for close to 30k miles.

Off topic but what do you guys think about removing a boost gauge for service? Yay or nay?

not sure...good question. Im putting mine in in a week or so and Im wondering the same thing. Cant you just say you have it to monitor boost for the best fuel economy? Plus a boost gauge is just a little funner.

I wouldn't worry about the scoops/drop-in unless it rains and sucks the water in, since you're not modifying/removing any of the stock components, minus the filter. And yes, I would definatly remove the boost gauge since you're taping into the vacuum lines, witch can lead to all sorts of problems. Imo don't give them ANY reasons.

Your dealer might be cool right now, but I've seen that they will always make a note if you have any mods and then if something breaks they will use it against you.
Better be safe than sorry... |

If you have to ask, just take it off, that's the rule of thumb.
