N55'ers ... Where is our DPFIX!
For those of us in states with emissions, it would be super if somebody made one. There's one for the M3, one for the N54 ... but not one for us. Is there some technical limitation or a lack of interest?
Really sucks to have the DP uninstalled, reinstall the stock one, drive around for a day, then come back, get inspection, get stock dp uninstalled, and finally get the aftermarket dp reinstalled. Not to mention the labor money involved. If you are reading, vendors, I would not like to repeat the above process next year! foreveralone.jpg

Are you referring to clearning the check engine light? I already do that with the BMS CAN Tool. The light isn't the issue - it's fooling emissions.
Clearing the SES light = sensors not ready which means an emissions test cannot be performed. And if you turn off auto-clear and let the sensors get ready, you will fail emissions because the SES light comes on. SES light on is an instant emissions test fail (in my state, anyway). I'm referring to this device: http://n54tuning.com/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=12 I want that for N55.

Problem is the n54 and M3 have the complete ECU inside the ECU box. The tune have access to all the wires.
n55 have harness for each important plugs. It should be easy for BMS or Vishnu to do the O2 sim using directly the O2 sensors plugs as usual (re-route the signal through the JB4/Procede unit). Here's a pic of those plugs (from Sloppy's thread): |

I know BMS plans to start working on one but I don't know exactly when they will have it ready. Theirs is only intended for off road / out of country cars. If you live in a smog controlled area do not tamper with your emissions systems.
