Glove Box iPod Organizer

I bought the glove box iPod organizer this week. I ordered it from Circle BMW and paid $29.75 plus shipping. After installing the unit I feel like it is kind of overpriced - it would be a nice touch if BMW included it with the iPod adapter - but it is still a useful accessory.

The installed unit creates a shelf in the glove box along with a storage area for the iPod that should keep it from sliding around when driving. The unit is covered in the same material as the inside tray of the glove box, and has a non-slip foam pad on the bottom of the iPod storage space.

Installation does not require any tools or hardware. The unit fits snugly in place and is removable at any time. Glove Box iPod Organizer Part Number is 51110422659.

How does that BMW glovebox flashlight come out?

it doesn't seem to block the flashlight since it sits outside of the glove compartment. its a pretty cheap accessory, but my ipod doesn't slip around too much IMO and its so small in there, i'd rather not have any extra space dedicated just for my ipod. looks very clean though

Looks great...but would probably work better if the ipod nook is to the left for easy on-the-go access (if needed) by the driver.

I agree it would be better to have the iPod closer to the driver. Unfortunately that large bump that houses the glovebox latch is too wide and there is not enough room on the left side to accomodate the iPod compartment. I do like the shelf it creates - it gives me a place to store that box I keep all the accessory cables in.
