My point was simple. You've found information on one module, which means you've spent almost no time searching. Do yourself a favor, again, and look up ALL the options before expressing interest in 1 because 1 member spoke highly of it.

I'm telling you right now, from someone who has been actively researching what the US spec d can do when tuned (ask other members of the d community), that you'd be best served spending the time. There are MULTIPLE posts on the BMS offering (read through the thread), and I'll be providing dyno results tomorrow.

Current offerings and upcoming ones:

BMS
VAC
DTUK
ESS (potentially, still awaiting verification on whether or not their UK tune works on U.S. cars)
Powerchip (flash tune in the works..I've talked to Wayne, and I know he's currently got a car that they're toying with for this)
MHP (speculatory..I've talked to Andy about it some, but it's still up in the air)
OE Tuning - Currently working with me on their flash tune

"Before expressing interest in 1.." Are kidding me?! News flash sparky, I am researching other options too. What kind of dimwitted short sighted statement is that anyway? I am not sure where you come off with your condescending know-it-all attitude. I've worked on my fair share of cars going on 20 yrs now, so I am more than familiar with how to go about researching a product. I don't even know you, but I can tell you I don't like you. Something tells me you are nothing more than some punky kid,,, maybe it's the gay avatar that gave it away. Perhaps you should spend less time prowling the internet giving people advice on how to go about their business and stick with your tests and providing feedback with substance. Keep up the good work though we are waiting with bated breath for all of the results.

I'll make sure to post them where you won't find them , "sparky". Regarding your feelings towards me, I don't care, but you've already sparked interest from some other folks, as I've already gotten multiple PM's about you, so you keep up the good work, too

You speak about your experience, when your posts show otherwise. You don't have anything to prove, but you're fighting to do so. I've tried to help you out with information, and all you return with is spiteful comments. Probably not the best way to start your tenure here, but hey, I'd have thought that the 20+ years of car experience may have taught you some forum etiquette.....judging from your posts so far, though, I'm guessing not. With your 'punky kid' and 'gay avatar' comments, I'd tend to question your experience at all.

I am interested, though. Of the ones I listed in my previous post, how many were you aware of?

Oh, and don't tell me not to prowl the internet, Mr. 4 posts. If you did ANY research at all, you'd know that you appear very much the novice.

I have the less pretty version (before Terry started selling em). :P

Mine looks like this, without the pretty sticker and wire covering:

Nothing to prove here and I certainly don't need to prove myself to kids like you. I am just putting it in context for you. I didn't ask for your "help" or guidance Mr. Diesel. I asked for feedback on a product based on someone's actual experience with it, which disqualifies you from responding. However, kids like you can't help themselves, you need to interject your "expert" opinion whenever you see an opening - boost that post count you know. If you would like to offer your opinion on a product with which you have experience have at it, otherwise keep your "research" tutorials to yourself.

So 4 posts somehow makes me a novice eah? Well I guess if that's the case you are the forum zen-master with your pathetic 2400+ in a year. How old are you anyway? With that kind of post count do you even have a job or did mommy and daddy buy your car for you? Why don't you get out and drive your car more and get off the internet.

I am an active member on several forums, but the maturity level displayed here by you is mind numbing. I've read many times on other forums such as Club Lexus etc about the arrogance and viciousness displayed by some BMW owners on BMW forums but I never believed it until now. I use to own BMWs years ago,,, I've been a member of BMW CCA, been to several October Fest and local chapter events to name a few and in all my years during that time I have not come across a guy like you. Hopefully, my experience with you isn't indiciative of what I can come to expect from the rest of the BMW community. There's one on every forum, so I still hold out hope.

I am done with you now, so please move on. If you have anything else to say to me smart guy PM me or I will give you my phone number and you can call me.

Thank you for proving every single one of my points (especially the one that shows you to be everything you make me out to be).

Now, in order to remind myself (and I'd suggest this to the others that actually care what this thread is about) what Jim's thread really is about, your posts are going to magically disappear for me. Thank goodness for little forum coded features.

My VAC module has arrived. I installed it this evening, and just took a bit of a spirited run (my car is running a tune 100% of the time, it's just a matter of which one). Since I've only had it in the car for a very short period of time, I'm going to reserve comment, aside from saying this: there is a definitive difference in feel between the VAC module and at least one of the other modules.

I'll weigh in once I've put some miles on the car with the module intact (since my daily commute is 120 miles, tomorrow should give me some opportunity to do exactly that).

As of right now, all I can say is VAC different.

Leaving for work shortly, which will give me a better gauge of feel. Hoping the drive is relatively traffic free today, but I'm not holding my breath.

So anybody else running this module? So far all we have are very ambiguous posts with no follow-up.

I have both, actually. I haven't had much time lately to do proper comparisons, though. Work has been kicking my ass.

No, what I meant was the power gain from cold air. If you're in Montreal, you'll feel it.
