which foglight bulb match with lux lci halogen angel eyes? what about low beam?
Hi
I have tried to search forums for info which foglight bulbs would match best with my lux lci halogen angel eyes and it seems that there are 2 options: gp thunder 7500k and mtec 4350k but I canīt decide which one. Is mtec 4350k too yellow? or gp tunder 7500k too bluish? Its hard to know those things by just looking at pictures so I would really appreciate your experiences and opinions about this. mtec is more expensive http://www.ebay.de/itm/MTEC-H11-12v-...item564514ae88 but I found ebay seller in England ebay so the shipping time is shorter for me than orderin gp thunders from US (20€) Another problem is the low beam bulbs, I have osram cool blue intense 4100k bulbs installed but they are still too yellow compared to angel eyes.. I could buy ex: nokya cosmo blues 5000k but some people told me that the bluish bulb reflects blue colour all around the headlight and it looks horrible when the low beams are off.. Is there any bulb which is white/grey coloured which creates whiter light than osram cool blue intense? And if someone says that I shouldnīt have done new thread, I tried to ask help in another angel eye bulb thread but no one answered me so now I did my own thread. Thanks for help in advance Last edited by dotzmugello; 08-19-2012 at 06:14 AM.. |

For the fogs, I'll let an HID kit slide. For the low beams, for the love of other drivers, and the sake of night-time visibility, do not put an HID kit in your halogen reflector housings. It detracts long distance night-time vision, and it blinds other drivers.
For the low/high beams, you use an H7 bulbs (2 per headlight, one for the large reflector and one for the small one). http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/nost2cowhh7t.html <-- the color on the road of that bulb is a pure, pure white. And the slight increase in power (of only 15 watts, a minuscule amount) ensures that there isn't as serious of a decrease in light output over a non-colored bulb. I have them in my E90 LCI cornering bulb slot (the h3 version though). And what's nice is that the color tinted glass (vs a solid color coating) won't give your headlights a blue "egg-yolk" look during the daytime. http://media.photobucket.com/image/r...4/eggyolk2.jpg <--that's an example of the "egg-yolk" thing I'm talking about. And a colored bulb will be like that in your low beam, except in blue. But the color tinted bulb I linked you to changes the light color a little differently than straight colored glass, and as such, it won't be nearly as noticeable in your headlights. |

So nokya cosmic white 5000k doesnīt look like this when they are off?
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images...0302l.jpg/sr=1 Some seller recommended to use wiring harness with these because they are 70w, is it necessary? Last edited by dotzmugello; 08-20-2012 at 03:50 AM.. |

here are some pics of the GP thunder 7500k i just put in... The color match is pretty much spot on with the lux angel eyes, but the output of these lights is pretty low. I'm thinking i'll probably end up putting in some 6000K HIDs for fogs.

For the love of god, can you tell the prepnecks with lifted trucks, mudgrips, CB radios, and fake or real HID's that don't hunt or go mudding at my school to take those damn things off of their halogen housings I cant fu****g see a damn thing at night no matter how far I look away

I have installed gp thunder 7500k fog light bulbs now and I am pretty happy with these but the output of the lights could be better so I was thinking maybe I could try some fog light hid kit?
Everyone is warning about hid kits in halogen reflectors because they blind other drivers so hid kit in fog lights doesnīt do that, correct? What is best plug and play no errors etc. hid kit for my fog lights? I want pure white colour if that is possible,no bluish. My car is e90 320d 2005 if that matters. I am also worried about if that hid kit smelts or hurts some electronics because itīs not the same thing than normal h11 12v 55w bulb. I also found these:http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-HID-White-...b452d9&vxp=mtr Any experiences? Last edited by dotzmugello; 08-30-2012 at 04:46 PM.. |
