Rear left turn signal not working (it is not the housing)

Hi all,
I recently noticed my rear left turn signal on my 2011 E92 328xi LCI stopped working. Originally I thought it was a bulb or the tail light housing... but I was wrong.
I swapped the housings and the rear left turn signal works fine on the rear right wiring harness!
So now, I am not sure where to start. My research points towards the footwell module. Is this correct?
Why would a footwell module only cause the left side not to function? Where should I start with my diagnosis?

All help is appreciated. Cheers

Start by examining the wires where they get mechanically bent.

The FRM could have stopped sending power to that side.
Can you reset the FRMA counters?

I will look at where they enter the trunk, apparently that's where there are issues most of the time

I am seeing an error code for short circuit counter, planning on resetting it over the weekend but I feel like I should find the short circuit first haha

I am not sure how often the FRM wants to see the short before it stops sending power.
Does it do it right away as to prevent any fires?
If so, could a bulb internally short and cause the issue?

Does it wait until it sees it a few times?

I think there’s only 1 ground wire on the pigtail, you can check for continuity from the other power wires to chassis ground to see if any of the wires are touching ground.
