335 Manual transmission fluid change

Anyone changed their manual transmission fluid in 335?

Is there a noticible difference? My BMW rep said that it is a lifetime fluid and he has seen more problems from people who have changed this fluid…

any advice or thoughts?

I'm tempted to do the switch myself; in attempt to get rid of the crunchy shifting when the car is cold.

Heard the Redline stuff is good.

Bullshit. Fresh fluid is never a bad idea. Your SA is a dolt.

Changed to OEM fluid. The amount of particulate was a little worrying. I'll probably buy a mag plug next year.

When I had my E90, I changed mines to Royal Purple (diff+tranny) at about 60k and it made a huge difference...the tranny was like butter!!

20 units of MTFLT2 at $3.10 per unit is $62 for the fluid and $53.60 for labor.
