@************* I checked my daten as you explained and to my surprise, BFD_2_BLINK_FREQ_EIN and BFD_2_BLINK_FREQ_AUS are already set to wert_01.

I also have a 2007 E92 335i, frm1, US Spec.
I haven't done anything yet but do I still need to write back the daten file or...
Does it mean all I have to change is BFD_2_ALGORITHMUS to aktiv and any of the following to wert_03:

BFD_2_RL_BL_ERSCH_BILD = brake light
BFD_2_BL_M_ERSCH_BILD = 3rd Brake light
BFD_2_RL_BL_1_ERSCH_BILD = brake light 1
BFD_2_RL_BL_2_ERSCH_BILD = brake light 2
BFD_2_NSL_ERSCH_BILD = rear fog lamp

Attached is my trc file and diss-assembled daten

so looking at your trc file

you also need to enable this :

BFD_2_ALGORITHMUS - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY STAGE 2 ALGORITHM

after you set that to aktiv, just customize which light you want to blink as brake for display for example i like my rear fog lights to blink... but thats my preference....

so if you want your rear fogs to blink you have to set this to wert_03

BFD_2_NSL_ERSCH_BILD - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY STAGE 1 REAR FOG LIGHTS APPEARANCE

i at last made it happen with the changes described in the table uploaded on #154. i just follow the value from cuco except for "BREMSL_FKT_MIT_BFD" as it set to "nicht_aktiv". if you set it to "aktiv" you will have a spare bulb lit next to the brake lamp together.

See video i created this morning.

only thing where i need a further investigation is that a third brake did not blink although i set "BFD2_BL_M" to "blinkend".

Thankyou cuco! i made it because of your great contribution to the trc uploaded.

supplemental info for #161...

brake lamp consists of three lamps, outer, inner and third lamp. outer lamp is working as a normal condition, inner lamp just for emargency such as in the event of a fault of outer lamp.

normal brake: only outer brake and third lamp will be lit.
hard brake: outer and inner lamp are blinking, and fog lamp will be lit together.

Thanks!

I would like to have my brake lights enabled to blink
Would you or anyone know what brake light 1 and 2 are? Is that what you were referring to @sono0312 for inner/outer?
BFD_2_RL_BL_1_ERSCH_BILD = brake light 1
BFD_2_RL_BL_2_ERSCH_BILD = brake light 2

I have an e92, so does the above apply to me? e92 only has one brake light plus fog, so is changing the above needed...or can I just change the following to wert_03:

BFD_2_RL_BL_ERSCH_BILD

now choose whatever you want to enable as brake force dispay

BFD2_BL_M - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY WITH THIRD BRAKE LIGHT
BFD2_NSL - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY WITH REAR FOG LIGHTS
BFD2_BL - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY WITH BRAKE LIGHTS

so whatever you want to blink set them to :
blinkend = blinking

now for the binking freqquency if you want them to blink fast or slow

set this value to whatever blinking frequency you want

BFD2_BLINKEN - BRAKE FORCE DISPLAY FLASHING
3Herts(slow) = 3_hz
5Hertz(fast)=5_hz
Anyone has any luck with this? I've have tried and it didn't work.Mine is 08 e92. Any idea what I might be missing?

I've asked this as well and this is what someone told me to do just haven't gotten around to trying it. Feel free.

Add $5AH to your VO and recode NFRM

Has anyone tried to use Carly for BMW application to code BFD?

I've tried this option as it was available to code.

Coded rear fogs (inner) to flash under hard braking above 20kmph. It works however doesn't flash comes up still??

I just want inner to flash under braking and outter to perform as usual.

Try these :

BFD_1_RL_BL_ERSCH_BILD = brake light wert_03 = flashing
BFD_1_BL_M_ERSCH_BILD = 3rd Brake light wert_03 = flashing
BFD_1_RL_BL_1_ERSCH_BILD = brake light 1 wert_03 = flashing
BFD_1_RL_BL_2_ERSCH_BILD = brake light 2 wert_03 = flashing
BFD_1_NSL_ERSCH_BILD = rear fog lamp wert_03 = flashing

And try the same iwth BFD_2_....
