Cheapest way to get E92 LCI Tail Lights
For those who are on the fence retrofitting the LCI tail lights because of cost, here's the cheapest way for you to get brand new ones for $510 shipped within the USA. You will need to order 1x wiring harness from Tischer, then order the tail lights individually from BMWMercedesParts. Most vendors charge $550-700 for the kit, not including shipping.
----------------------------------------- 61122181307 - Wiring Harness - $46.85 (www.getbmwparts.com) 63217251959 - Rear light in the side panel, left - $126.76 (www.bmwmercedesparts.com) 63217251960 - Rear light in the side panel, right - $126.76 (www.bmwmercedesparts.com) 63217252779 - Rear light in trunk lid, left - $96.92 (www.bmwmercedesparts.com) 63217252780 - Rear light in trunk lid, right - $96.92 (www.bmwmercedesparts.com) Shipping: $7.95 for the harness, and $8 shipping for the tail light assemblies ----------------------------------------- Total cost: $510.16 shipped (you will also need to code with an AutoLogic programmer) Last edited by JunkStory; 08-28-2011 at 04:07 AM.. |

You will need to get hold of an AutoLogic programmer who has knowledge of coding the E92 LCI tail lights.
If you could not find one (unlikely), you can do it at the dealership, BUT you will need to check which version of frm (footwell module) you have. If it is frm3, you're good to go. If you have frm2, you will need to upgrade it to frm3 first ($300 at Tischer). |
