ICOM; what's needed for programming
After Winkfp rendering my CIC controller redundant; it seems that this may be due to using a K-DCAN cable.
I want to have the whole car updated but every indy I call seems very reluctant so I'm tempted to do it myself. Assuming that I have Winkfp setup correctly; what else is needed for an ICOM install? Packages on eBay seem to be around £250 for a China clone. |

If you want to update the entire vehicle you need a stable external power supply. Especially when updating CIC! Else you brick modules.
A good one is Schumacher INC-700a. They are 350USD approx. |

You can simply download ISID and update your car.
If you don't want to spend a lot of money on external power source then you should buy a good power cables and use another car as a donor to keep at least 13V during programming. |
