Not e90, but e46 imminent Fuel Pump failure

Hey All;

I'm looking for opinions before I swap my fuel pump out. Recently when I slow down to a stop the revs on the car fluctuate from 800 - 500 (almost stall) and just bounce all over the place down under 1000 r/minute. If I give the car a ton of gas, it'll fix the problem temporarily but it always comes back.

I'm thinking fuel pump, which would be great as swapping them out costs like 40€.

Its a 2001 316i with 210XXX kilometer so about 140k
