I hear that, heh. And VBox is what I'm talking about (RaceLogic makes it along with other models).

I hear u about the exhaust... PE and header combo is just too loud. What about adding afe stage 2 intake and update the bpc tune to accommodate +lighter 15inch apex wheels...might just be enough to get to ur goal

I’m just about done with power mods but there’s a little bit left I’m working on because like you said I can still get maybe 10 more hp.

I’m currently working on a secondary ram intake tract to the stock airbox, like the Dinan set up. I might try a big bore throttle body. Maybe a little redline bump as suggested. And since I still have secondary cats, resonator, and factory muffler I’ve been toying with maybe a slightly more aggressive muffler instead of stock. I honestly wouldn’t mind a little exhaust sound but I don’t want it loud, just a little more sporty. I think maybe keep the resonator and secondary cats and add just the latest AA muffler which I’ve read isn’t as aggressive as the PE and sheds a few lbs. I think with those mods maybe 8-10 more HP is attainable.

And maybe like you suggested some lighter wheels like apex 18’s. Can still drop 5lbs per wheel from where I am.

I’m very close to the ceiling of what this car can do while N/A, but I don’t feel I’m there yet!

Have you considered deleting the secondary cats? Not sure what that would sound like though (quiet and raspy? lol). Might be just right though! And as far as power gains, that's your biggest chance left for more power IMO.

I was very excited to receive and install my 3.73 diff this weekend.

Unfortunately, Fedex delivered an empty fucking box.

Lol, what?! How did they manage that? Sure looks like there was a diff in there at some point!

Who packs an 80lb diff in a cardboard box?

This isnt Fedex's fault. The shipper is a moron.

LOL I'm inclined to agree with you all. You can sort of see in that picture where the box broke.

I'm a little surprised that Fedex just...taped up the empty box and sent it on its way.

I've already heard back from the seller, and contacted fedex...but was really hoping to install the diff this weekend!

Ahahha holy shit this is amazing.

I can just imagine the guy that it broke on. 70lb diff comes flying out of the bottom of the box and hes just like "eh, not my problem". Probably crushed his toe or something and he got pissed.

But for real that sucks, I hope you find out where your elusive diff is!

EDIT: So is there just a differential carrier sitting in the middle of an aisle at a fedex hub somewhere? People walking around it like wtf is this?

Nice. Hmm, I don't FB a lot, but I believe I am in an ATL enthusiast group? It was big.. haven't checked it in a while though (just joined a few weeks back). Is that what you're talking about, or is there one for B'ham in particular?

Yup, it only traveled from San Francisco area to Los Angeles area, so it's not like it was passed through a bunch of hubs either. It got loaded onto the pickup truck, the transcalifornia truck, and the delivery truck. 500 miles, 3 days in shipment.

Whatever, E90 parts are a lot cheaper than E46M3 parts so I am not too upset about it. Seller wants me to send an empty box back, fine with me boss.

Sorry to hear about the empty box, that’s wild. Got mine installed last night. About 2 hours as others have said. So far it’s great. It reminds me of my e46 wagon which was always in the cams running 4K/80 mph. This isn’t as nearly as extreme but it’s just what the car needed. Don’t hesitate to try it out.

Did you replace the three diff bushings and if so, were they difficult to remove?

I replaced mine when I did my diff swap. They were a bitch to remove added like 2 hours to the swap time. Every bit as difficult as you would imagine lol

My car has 47k so I didn’t bother. They looked fine from what I could see.

I am selling my 3.73 diff for $120. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Since this sucker is heavy, I don't feel like shipping it. So, local pickup is preferred. I am in NOVA (DC area), but would not mind meeting you if it is within reasonable distance - I will not deliver it to your house.

The reason for sale: I installed milvs and i don't think this mod is needed any more.

I took my new diff bushings to the local hardware store and sized up some abs plastic plumbing fittings, some ready rod and hardware and some big washers to use as a puller.

They came out super easy. Waaaay easier than the sub bushings.
