Awesome lol. Can't believe u ran last night. Crazy hot and humidity was NUTS.

That is a good time 112 trap speed for that weather. You run 93 or e85?

For that MPH you should be launching harder in 1st gear, 2500 rpm or so double foot it and GO!@

Will be there next week in my black 335 look for me

Yeah, it was 92 degrees per my dash. I was def need a better launch. I was stuck in the mentality of my Evo and Skyline and went for 5k while preloading the drivetrain with the ebrake. Clutch hated that! 2500-3000 is def sounding like the sweet spot.

It was on straight 93 and 112 was a typo, it was 102

60' = 1.996
330 = 5.649
1/8 = 8.687
mph = 81.42
1000 = 11.278
1/4 = 13.490
mph = 102.24 (112 was a typo!)

Yea you should be at 110-115 next week on e85 or 100 octane. Fill up before you come! Or at the track

Automatic trans right? 1st gear at 2500 is all you need. 1.7 60' all day

102 mph is low even if you "only" have a tune...

Hmmmmm. 12.94@106.4

I'm pleased but thinking I shoulda gone faster. Near the end of the run my car seemed to fall flat. Injectors? I just did the plugs a week ago. Oh I was running map 2 btw. Thoughts?

Time Run

Went to MIR last night. First pass, went a 13.05, second pass 12.92 - - MPH seems low for these et's. Currently have DCI, Alpina flash and JB4-G5, running map 5 - I had a 1/4 tank of 93 and added 5 gallons of 103 at the track.

These seem to be average numbers?

You guys running lower 12s..... Any ideas about the times 285 and I ran. Nearly identical setups, both autos.... Both running jb4 g5 with dci. Only difference is his has the alpine b3 flash. I ran my first two runs in map 2 on 93 octane. For the second two, I tried map 5 and was actually slower. My car has about 63k on it. I put new plugs in it a week or so ago but as far as I know the injectors are original. Thoughts?

Map 2? Do you have downpipes? Otherwise that's not a good idea.

If you don't have downpipes, you can run either map 1 or map 5. If you have 93 octane you should use map 5, because it's a auto tuning map so it will adjust to the octane you're running and put down more power.

Do you brake boost? I assume you do because your 60 foot is 1.8, not bad but you can do better... Are you in D, S or M mode? The best would be to use M mode and shift gear around 6000-6200 rpm...

Thanks for the reply V1. My 60ft times were in the 1.7 range. 285 was running in the 1.8s. Like I said I ran map 2 for the first two run and map 5 for the second 2. I ran my first run from M2 and recorded a 13.02. My second run was in DS at 12.9.

not my first time at the track..... but it has been a while. Correct assumption no downpipes and power braking at about 2500 rpm. I'm more curious about why I seemed to be dropping off towards the end. Map2 or map5 didn't seem to matter the lack of pull seemed to be pretty even across all four runs.

What about running in map7?

Do you have any logs?

Don't run map 7 unless you have e85, meth or race gas.

I was running 13's flat, 1.9 60' with only jb4 on map 5 with 93 octane boosting 14.5psi which is what map 2 does so I don't think you're numbers are far off. I'm no pro driver though. Once I added e85 map 5 boosted to 17.5psi and I started running lower times.

It doesn't sound like you let map 5 adjust with 3rd/4th gear pulls before you tracked it. Since you had some race gas I bet if you had let it adapt you would have ran faster.

Only place around my area to get fuel with higher octane then 93 is at the track. MIR has 103, 110 and 116-all unleaded. And yes, I got fuel the night at the trackI ran, so the car did not have time to adapt before hand. I am going run again on 9/27 at the next Test and Tune. May try to get down there a day before and get about 12 gallons of 103 and drive around the day before I go, let the car adapt to Map 7. I should also have my downpipes on by then hopefully and new plugs.

Good luck. Makes me want to try race gas.

Good stuff that's what I was looking for. I had assumed there was enough time for it to adapt. Yes I don't intend to run map 7 map 5 or map 2 for that matter unless I'm properly set up for it. Thanks!

Tuned to Map 7 on the JB4 and ran out for a few blasts a bit ago--HOLY SMOKES!! I had not driven the car since last Friday night when I was at the track and added the 5 gallons of 103 octane. I guess that 103 octane really likes the car and it is mixed in really well with the 93 I had in there. I pushed recall on my P3 that is set on boost mode after each pull and saw 20.2, 20.7 and 21.2lbs of boost registering. That sorta scared me, so back to Map 5 I went...

So I went dragging last night. cut a 1.6 60' which is awesome, but i manually shifted the car into 2nd right when i hit redline, so it shifted by itself, skipped 2nd gear, went right into 3rd..ruined my run. Only got 1 pass i'll be back!! Running Map 7 this time, as opposed to map 5 on my 12.6 pass. Car is pulling 20 psi in 3rd /4th gear on e50 in this weather

When i reviewed my go-pro video i saw my boost taper off to 10 psi in 3rd and 4th (DME Default) after my transmission double shifted into 3rd from 1st...guessing the DME didn't like that! no wonder i trapped at 101 on that run lol. timing was 10-11 degrees which is good!

got a new go-pro setup for next time, logging will be ready too.

good job! did you log your run? 60' can be alot better, try brake boosting harder. you'll easily be in the 12's with a better launch.

Got back home and put a 50/50 mix of E85 and 93 in, ran at my usual spot which is completely flat but not too good for traction. Weather was about 42 F but humidity was 92% which hurt up top, probably could have picked up at least 1-1.5mph in normal 40-50% humidity.

At the track I was cutting pretty decent 1.6x 60' times, so 11.7 is in the bag if I decide to go back out (90 min drive so that's a big if).

Still have my CP-E DP and Big Tom FMIC sitting in my garage, so if I get those installed I'm really hoping to bring the times down to 11.4-11.5 range assuming a 25-35whp bump.

You've said you took your seats out, what about passenger seat? Is it allright to unplug all electric stuff? I mean no codes after you plug it back???

How much lbs can be saved by removing rear + passenger seat???
