Oil service deals - but expect cold service

ShellyBMW in socal has always had these deals for a while. $79.95 (9 quarts + oil filter + labor + car wash/vacuum) so if anyone of you need a full BMW 5W30 synthetic oil change, this is the way to go.

I always use Tisher to DIY but Tisher charges $76.00 and that's not that great when you consider you have to do the oil change and car wash yourself. So I only DIY if Shelly doesn't offer these coupons.

However, expect some very rude SA. These guys are trying to upsell you anything they can. Alignments, fluids, etc. Since I do most of the fluids myself and I can reset the maintenance lights, the only thing the SA had to offer me was an alignment. I kindly refused and he was obviously not happy. Our conversation was cold from start to finish.

$79.95 oil change service:

How about just DIY the whole thing for the cost of oil, filter, and washing supplies?

You guys pay a lot, my dealerships in NJ have night service specials for oil changes @ $62 OTD all inclusive!

I won't need to change oil again till winter and i'm sure those deals will be back. Last i used the coupon was in Feb 2013.

So where do you get 7 quarts for $35? Before you say Walmart, my local Walmart does not carry 0w-40 and they tried to order it but their computer would not let them.

Bloomfield BMW has $59.95 oil change specials here which is pretty damn good. I've had way too many issues with them to do it though. DIY or indy for me.

They "had" $60 oil change coupons... But no longer since feb 2013 because the service manager changed and ownership changed too. I never had problems with my car at bloomfield. They did a far better job then edison did.

Oh no James Crowe left!? Man he was an awesome Service Manager. He was so patient with me and helped me every way he could after all their screw ups. I was there so much we were on a first name basis. Lol. I wonder where he went.

edit: you sure about that I'm searching this and there's no indication he left.

My SA had left too i think tim from edison became the new service mgr at bloomfield. My last oil change was at JMK in feb cuz they still had the $60 coupon (no longer anymore). I'm willing to bet those r winter special rates cuz few people have car work done when its freezing outside.

used to be $57.95 at bloomfield but that ended after 3 yrs. one time the guy was very rude because I had a loaner and that's all I was doing (he even said you're using my loaner, I'm doing the hpfp). The next time the SA treated me like a normal customer, so I told him I wanted the coolant replaced. He said good decision, it's not lifetime as BMW implies.

Worried that I may have poured $129 down the drain with my own doing, I watched through the window as a tech wheeled a coolant exchange machine up to my car (he probably knew I was watching and it wasn't really hooked up to my car or even plugged in lol)....

It wasn't $59.99, it was $57.95, cheaper than DIY. But it no longer exists.

All i remember it was $62.xx OTD I've had Bloomfield do it twice and JMK once. At those prices who wouldn't bite at doing an oil change?

Fortunately for me, my Walmart carries it.
