Logic7
my logic7 amp was covered in water and now none of my speakers work and im getting the crossed out SOS light on the dash.
from what ive searched up my amp is gone. 1. is there a way of knowing that it is my amp for sure? 2. are all logic7 amps interchangeable or should i be looking for a specific used one? 3. i still have my door open and key in ignition gong, does that mean that it is not my amp? |

1 swap in another logic 7 amp
(also its wet) put a most jumper in at the logic 7 amp I think the sos error will disappear according to bmwgm5 link. 2 Don't know 3 Some of the 06 and 07.s have a separate speaker for the gongs so only the PDC would be effected if you have one. If the most loop is broken none of the devices on it will function hence the SOS error. http://www.bmwgm5.com/Logic7_6941681.htm When the LOGIC7 amp is removed from the MOST bus it disrupts everything on the bus. The way around this is to jumper out the amp with a MOST bus jumper. BMW P/N 61136917541. These are available for $18.01 from ECS Tuning or $17.78 from GetBMWparts.com. Your local dealer is probably going to charge $30ish. Last edited by ctuna; 06-10-2013 at 09:14 PM.. |

anyone know someone to repair a logic 7 amp? my sound system works, but one speaker works intermittently, and the speakers produce static at times. I have to pump the volume all the way up before the front driver side speaker works then turn the volume down a bit. anyone have an idea for a fix?
