need help with golf tee mod
Would like some help with the golf tee mod. Anyone in the markham area, or near could help me out? its for a coupe n54, Currentley have the bmw performance exhaust and just want to enhance the sound a lil bit. I know there's 2 ways of doing it, I perfer plugging the hole from under the exhaust, dont want to touch anything myself beacuse I have no clue what im doing. lol

Is this necessary with PE?
I thought PE eliminated the need for the "golf tee" mod, which essentially just holds the butterfly valve in the driver's side tail-pipe open at all times. I don't know much about OEM PE but I was under the impression that it wouldn't have the flapper valve in it...

PE doesnt have the valve unless you have the extremely rare ones made in the UK or something.

The PE does not have an exhaust flapper. The golf tee mod is only for the OEM exhaust. I'm pretty sure the noise difference you're hearing based on the air temperature on any given day.

I've also noticed the exhaust note changing from time to time, but for me it happens for 5mins once every week.
I actually get some drone when it happens but the burble and backfire is insanely loud. I always wondered why it is doing that because I would love to have it stay that way. The temperatures don't really matter as it could happen in the cold at night or when it is burning in the sun. I was thinking it could be AFR or maybe my spark plugs/ coils going out :S

THe vacuum line and wastegate should be on the left side of the car. If there is a line you will clearly see it. It will stand out . Cant tell by the pics. Take a pic of the left side and look for that hose
