Was it baked? If yes, any time. If no, 60-90 days, depending on solvent popping.

Yeah, baked. After your car's painted at the factory it goes through a giant oven that cures and dries the paint. Some body shops have the equiptment to do this after repainting body work.

nhhiep - simple solution is to call the shop and ask.

I also just had to have parts of my baby repainted (hood, front left fender and half the door). The car got hit by a falling tree branch during that really bad storm here in Buffalo about a month ago (I was without power for 9 days)

The shop told me 30 days before waxing the car. Very difficult to wait, esp with the snow coming around here and the fact that it was 55+ here this weekend that would be a perfect temp to actually do it.

Now, all that being said, I did find this thread over at Autopia with a response to the same question from Sal himself at Zanio:

http://autopia.org/forum/car-detaili...aint+zaino+sal

Check the first post on that page. His take was you only need to wait a week to put a coat of Zaino on. I'm going to wait 30 days at least, but I did wash the car with z7 this weekend (It was 20 days from painting) and hit it with some Z8 just to try and help somewhat (the snow is on the way this weekend).

As mentioned in the Autopia thread, you can put whatever you like on provided the painter will warranty the paint if you seal within a week. If I was a painter, I wouldn't.
