Learning how to get the best price on a new car takes homework and practice. Don't worry about it now since the deal is already done, just enjoy your nice new car. I had nothing even close to an E90 when I was 20, so consider yourself blessed, my friend.

Over here in The States I used the Consumer Reports New Car Pricing Service: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/c...-a-new-car.htm It gives you dealer costs on the various models as well as options, and advice on what you should expect to have to pay. (One bit of advice remains constant, always work up from dealer cost, never down from the sticker price).

Check out the link above, you probably have a similar service down-under.

Congrats on your awesome new car!

That's what I initially thought too, but all you really need is the invoice price and some tact.

Sorry to rub it in

I was a factory order (normally no discount), and yes its an auto executive+ roof, sport suspension, steering wheels, 162s, plus mats, plus bluetooth cradle.

Sorry to say, I got mine after 3 weeks of ringing around, I did not even had to come into the dealership, I just got it off the phone and order via fax!

Tip for you all, this is the 4th time I bought a car with a fax, come in to the dealership test drive, etc, jot down what you like for sure, and hunt it down untill you get the best price!

Never turn up and sign up!, you get murdered.

Now you have made the most important decision in your life. Becoming owner and driver of a BMW is going to make you different, first its the best car you gonna find, second E90 is the evolution in the highest degree and in road you are going to see all the others cars in other level, lol. Im drinking 3 oranges a day, by the beakfast and i advise everybody to do the same because i believe oranges and BMW are the perfect match. lolol

Hi Ivan,

That's very interesting and would you tell us more about ringing around to get a deal. What did you say? coz usually the sales will not tell you their best price until they see you.

I got a deal yesterday from BMW Mel . 320i Exec auto, sunroof, leather at $61650. was it a good deal?

RRP + $57K Plus auto=around $60K .... any other extras?? Metallic paint .. In Adelaide motors they are trying to get $68-$70K with sunroof. We are a bit insulated in Adelaide with only one BMW dealer.
