good bye e92 hello RS5
howy chaps I have let the old girl go after she started complaining a little too much for my liking. I have been thinking about a new ride for a while and nothing really grabbed me, but in the end i had to move quickly before something happened.
So I found an RS5 and took it for a drive and was rather impressed. Power wise probably a little down on the n54 BUT traction wise it is 100% better. I could not run more than 8 and 10 pounds of boost in 1st and 2nd or the traction light would be lit up like a christmas tree. so overall id say the 4 rings wins. Fit and Finish, the RS seeeeems sturdier and better quality components, it could also be that it is simply different?? but 'feel' accounts for something and it used to bother me when i washed the old girl that she would flex and bulge all over the shop where as the audi is just firm. Interior is a personal thing i used to like the interior on the 335 but as they say a change is as good as a holiday and id say they both have good and bad points and this would be a tie. one thing is the sports seats in the RS are fantastic.......once you get ya fat arse in that is road holding, this is where the audi shines the most and leaves the 335 in the dust (remember i had kw's and full m3 front conversion) the power goes down and she holds the road like shit to a bunny's back, never never skittish or a question will it hold it just does so a big big win there for the audi. track time, just waiting on a set of track wheels and tyres (295's all round) and we will find out. |

Congrats on the new car mate, but where are the pics?
What issues were you having with the 335i may I ask? Of course AWD has more grip, but a lot of reviews against say that their is reduced feedback through the tiller, the understeer can be annoying whereas a properly setup rwd will be ultimately slower against the clock but a lot more exciting to drive. I guess out in the real world in the hands of an amateur they are more likely to explore the limits & as a consequence be quicker in an AWD vehicle! |

steering is different, but i wouldnt say better or worse (well comfort mode is shit shit shit but dynamic is pretty good) just different. i have to laugh at the so called experts, they spend 5 minutes in a car and and they are an expert. i have a view that you work with the car to extract the best and from my limited time in my first AWD car id say im pretty impressed. |

Is that panther black? Just had one go out from my dealer and it is beautiful in that color! Congrats! I wish I could trade in for one, but it's a bit too much outta my price range lol. Enjoy!

I can't imagine you trying to play around with all the drive modes and settings in the Audi! Surely too lazy for that as well then haha.
